Impressed by it as a computer, or as a <$300 computer? I've considered getting one as a replacement for my aging tablet so I could be a bit more productive on the go, but I'm unsure about the OS or the limited app store. I was thinking about the Acer C720, mainly because it's the cheapest one Best Buy has. Any tips or

While they got the wheel right, it looks like the pedals are still on the left...

Where are you getting your numbers? The epa gave the Volt 37 combined (which gas only cars that cost 1/3 as much beat). Electric-only ratings are useless (and even then, they only get 98, not 140). The ELR got even worse.

Neither does the popular media. They've destroyed dozens of these in such popular movies as the Avengers and Die Hard 4.

Quick Google search, and OH, MY GOSH, HE DOES!!!!!

But is hybrid diesel really necessary in a performance car? It worked in the XL1 because of the mileage gain, but the torque of the diesel wouldn't necessarily need the electric boost, so the batteries would be an unnecessary waste of space and weight. Also, the R8 would have better performance and quality, being

As long as they don't make it the only option for the Z06, or replace the Z06 entirely, I guess it'll be okay... I'd buy a diesel R8 over a hybrid 'Vette in a heartbeat. It would fit with Audi's brand image more than a hybrid 'Vette.

I was just trying to illustrate how much tuning and development it would take to turn the Volt's system, GM's only hybrid drivetrain, into a system worthy of a Corvette. It'd cost even more to design a new system from scratch. The Volt's sales numbers are okay, but nobody is buying the ELR.

Porsche and Mclaren both used hybrid tech solely to boost performance (in one mode or another), and the added weight and cost of the system were no object. They're also big on being on the cutting edge of technology, something that the Corvette has always placed below low cost and big V8s. While I wouldn't necessarily

It's probably a good idea; it allows the engineers to keep up the momentum. Unless its a major redesign, like making a car electric or mid-engined, it's just improvements to the existing infrastructure, most likely ones that didn't make it into the current-gen car.

They're not building it, just developing it. It can take nearly a decade to develop a car, especially one as intrinsic to a company's brand image as the Corvette. Saying it's in development is also an interesting marketing tool, as it builds speculation and hype for the cars years in advance.

I think (hope) that most of the R&D that GM is doing in hybrid tech is related to the Volt/ELR and other economy-type cars. I don't think that the 'Vette's customer base is interested in hybrid stuff for now; they've always been about light(ish) weight, low cost, and big V8s, i.e. the exact opposite of hybrids.

Looks like a standard 5S to me. If anything, the changes are too small for it to be a new design. Unless they're planning on revealing a 5SS that has more internal upgrades (and I wouldn't put it past them), the next phone will have more visible changes than just shifting some buttons around.

While I enjoyed Horizon, I couldn't get past the short car list and choice of location. While Colorado was really pretty, it was all red and dusty, which kinda stank. I'm super stoked for "hundreds of cars," and southern Europe has a lot of potential. I just hope they don't screw it up... And that they add a legit

I've actually found these to be fairly standard. They're usually on the door, ahead of the window switches, as shown. It's the same across all of my family's cars, including an A8, a Silverado and a Pilot. (But not our Jeep, whose mirrors are manual)

I'm going to have to go with seat controls. Some cars, they're on the door, some they're on the seat where you can't frikin' see them, and some are manual (the best kind). Just make them all manual, so we don't have to sit for five minutes just to recline the seat to take a nap, or to push the seat back when you let

They've done bigger, just not for a publicly released set. Remember the life-size X-Wing from last year? That had over 5 million bricks. I would love to see this at Legoland, or at one of the larger Lego Stores.

I don't know how much the modifications on the Mercer cost him, but assuming it's around $50k, that would make buying the legit MRAP $75-$100k cheaper at retail prices, which it would most certainly be less than. You should be able to make-over an interior for $100k. As for the speed, I'm sure that there are numerous

I'm sorry, but wouldn't this cost way more than an actual MRAP? While I'm not sure how one goes about buying used military vehicles, they should be considerably marked down from the $600,000 original price. That's a lot less than an AMG 6x6 plus this extensive body kit, And you get actual armor plating and even worse

I guess we'll have to wait and see if the car can live up to its name. I'm not sure about the limitations of the Ecoboost platform; it might not be able to handle the crazy amounts of hp the SVO could handle. The Taurus gets a lot from the same block, though... If Ford renamed it from 'Ecoboost,' I'm pretty sure it
