Gawd yes. A friend had a 3oT-V8 beater pickup and we’d piss ourselves laughing about not knowing what gear it was in because it was so sloppy. You had to drive by the feel of torque in your pants. The shifter would hang there morbidly off the busted plastic, trying to care what gear was selected.

I don’t think Boston is the big problem. I think Sports Radio in general is the culprit. The entire industry is modeled on artificial conflict and outrage to get listeners. It’s always going to be odious at its core, no matter what city it originates from.

I don’t think your thought process makes total sense. The car would have depreciated the same amount whether you took a loan or bought it outright. Basically, you paid $835 in installments for the ability to buy a car right away.
