I treat him like Orson Scott Card: his works are great and I’ll partake, but I probably wouldn’t like him as a person.

That’s absolutely correct. Some want to say it’s a straw man argument because Dr. Disrespect is very popular - and women, in general, are not as well received because shitty, defensive and entitled dudes just can’t get over their hang-ups about, in their minds, women being inherently inferior players - Or women who…

crazy, I didn’t think equality was such a novel concept anymore. I thought we were at least starting to embrace it... a little.
I agree that’s probably true. Personally, I really don’t know much about what the Doc got in trouble for except that I knew he said something being unfaithful to his family. The hard part is that I really like the doc character. I’m so glad he’s back because he’s so damn entertaining, but it leaves a weird,…
I get the first part, he’s chosen to adopt a very distinct personality and that’s inevitably going to be polarizing, it’s certainly borderline for me. For the second part, I’m not sure I feel very strongly about it because I feel like it’s mostly between him and his wife? Unlike someone like a Pewdiepie. But anyway,…
Gaming is a heavily male dominated culture (just from a % of males vs females perspective). And as for the games I watch? It’s mostly males streaming them, PUBG, Fortnite, CSGO, whatever Shroud streams (I enjoy his stream almost regardless of the game).
calm down fedora, didn’t say it was automatically racist. it’s just a fairly common trope amoungst idiot internetz types that trade in gas lighting racist bullshit. like edgy nerds who say “cuck” and pretend its origins aren’t racial in nature.
Yeah I’m with you, I’ll likely never donate anything to him, aside from my time to watch him once in a while. Which is usually when he pops up in shrouds team for PUBG squads.
Honestly, his relationship is a private matter, yes it was immoral. But he did own up to it, he didn’t gloss over it. And sure he made it a public matter. But celebrities have done far worse and continued to be famous. But in the end we’re all human, and a transgression in our private lives shouldn’t completely…
What does he have to prove? I mean how does one prove they’ll never cheat again? I suppose by not actually doing it, but that’s not something that you can really “prove.”
One need only look at the white house to see unrepentant cheating scumbags can ascend to untold heights. This guy’s fans and trump supporters definitely form the same circle on a venn diagram.
Agreed. If a woman committed adultery like Doc, the majority would be calling her a whore, rather than showering her with donations...
But, agreed, the wording of the poll is pretty damning too, I just don’t think it was meant that way and Cleveland has much less of a problematic Twitter history.
The trick to the grays is to leave them in the grays... I’ve learned my lesson.
I honestly don’t know too much about this guy. but wasn’t his issue he cheated on his wife?
ultimately that’s not anything to really concern yourself with. It’s between him and his partner.
I’d be more concerned if he does any of that racist “sorry if i offended you” type bullshit. which i dunno if that’s in his bag…
I would say the $5,000 donation along with many other various amounts of donation money was quite a warm welcome back. What world are we living in where we can cheat on our wives then get thousands of dollars thrown at us for doing so?
If a female streamer admitted to infidelity she would have to move to another planet to avoid the harassment and even then they would build rocket ships and travel through wormholes that sent them a million years into the future just for the chance to hunt her down and call her a whore.
Fourth, the way to get approved as a commenter is to ritually sacrifice the third born child of a second born goat under a blood moon whilst chanting the sacred words.
