I mean, that’s all well and good and understandable from a audience standpoint.

I wish I had more than but one star to give (but it pulled you out of the grays, so that’s something!) but this comment made me genuinely laugh out loud at work, thank you so much.

Well define “shared”? It’s an APU, sure, but the 8-cores of CPU aren’t shared with the graphics processing unit. The GPU portion just also sits on the CPU die in an APU, but they don’t share cores, just RAM.

Yes, it most definitely is, and sports bugs that existed back in Morrowind and Oblivion.

How well it ran is both not the problem, and exactly the problem. I hit high framerate on ultra settings just fine - The problem was the high framerate. The games engine wigs out when you go over 60 (which is disappointing when you can drive 100 and get the most out of your 120+ Hz monitor) and does frustrating

That’s because Fallout 4 is perfectly suited to run on a 6 year old PC.

“Better technology”

It’s only hyperbole if it’s exaggerated.

I haven’t been able to watch the stream because work - but did they confirm that’s what they’re actually moving to?

They already technically have an 8-core CPU.

Those would be all correct assumptions.

Even if you go bottom-of-the-bin, a cheap motherboard that’ll fit a $150 CPU is probably still $50. That leaves you $50 for RAM, PSU, HDD, and Case.

You can maybe get away with $35-$40 for a reliable 80+ Bronze PSU that won’t crap out and fry your parts down the line (Have seen it happen to too many builds, don’t say

But they are physically included, and the Rift ones can be removed too I thought?

Technically, it’s included audio, and the OSVR doesn’t include either for not much cheaper.

Um - the Vive says “No” on both built in Audio and Mic, but it has both.

What are they smoking?

“Not impossible”? Um.. If you’re buying old, used parts, or shitty ones, maybe. I personally would not cheap out on mobo and PSU as those are arguably your most important points of failure, HDD and RAM can be found pretty cheap, true, but, $100 for *all* of that is a bit “ambitious” to put it nicely.

Now if only they’d make it for PC too.. Right now it’s not listed :(

There was another article somewhere that mentioned all the “processing box” does is mirror the guest-view for the people not inside the headset, IIRC.

Hahaha. Thank god RPG game rules don’t apply to the real world.

and because of that, before long, like using the bathroom at a gas station, Gwent with the cashier will become a customers-only privilege.

Sorry, you’re correct - Actuation *force* is what distinguishes them from each other, not distance.
