Making a general observation, and sorry for not making that crystal clear. Believe me, if I have a beef with someone I don't do passive-aggressive side-eye but get in their face and say my piece. Not sure whether that's a virtue or a vice. (Bit of both, probably.) :)

I wouldn't say that "going after" someone who has clearly appropriated a culture and then turned around and insulted issues involved with it is wrong... just the way they're threatening to do so.

It gets to the point where you feel like saying "I'm doing the best I can. You told me to do it this way, so I did, and then you told me that was wrong, so I did it this other way, and now you tell me that's wrong too!"
