Nothing screams low IQ than drawing attention to oneself while holding an expired/suspended/etc license.

If he doesn’t have a valid license I would be hard pressed to believe he carries valid insurance...
I run track days with the guys who train Michigan State Police, I’m sure the Indiana curriculum is similar.. Their training is ok but hardly enough for me to feel confident without knowing the specific officer.
Now you have two cars behaving extremely recklessly (by definition)
Set up a road block and stop the Hellcat…
You are focusing on edge cases. Everyone is. There is a ton of bad driving habits that are already removed with self-driving cars. Look at the big picture and it is obvious that it is already safer, even if these edge cases still occur.
Save the “blaming the victim” nonsense. There are many cases where the victim can be 100% at fault. If a person is racing a train, for instance, the fact that the person ends up dead doesn’t mean it was not their fault.
From the guy who actually watched the video: “it’s very clear it would have been difficult to avoid…
Being better than human and still hitting this woman are not mutually exclusive.
Self driving cars likely are better than humans already...are we requiring that they be perfect? Because that’s impossible.
Better yes, but there are some things that can’t be programmed away. If this person suddenly changed direction to end up in front of the moving car the only solution is to separate people from cars with fences like they use on interstates to stop animals from crossing.
I respectfully disagree. I think the tech should be proven to kill 10x fewer humans per mile driven than human drivers.
You had me at Vault-Tec
Dear Vault-Tec:
You should read more Kotaku, it’s clearly Street Fighter 69
Yeah um, I’d disagree. Considering I read/look at cars daily and enjoy driving various cars. Track days planned the future when my schedule frees up.
I KNEW I was going to have to explain this to at least one person:
Why wasn’t there any audio?
It could be when they use non-OEM parts. Unfortunately, tesla’s repair cost is extremely high. And they have to be from a Tesla certified mechanic. Even a small fender bender on certain area are high cost. Since their sensors are very specific on the thickness of the paint on it. So no easy bondo fix. Pretty much…
True, here in Maryland we have some of the highest trafic in the country from cross state traffic
Working in insurance, I can tell you a Tesla costs more to repair than your average car, and more than most luxury cars. Tesla certified shops spend a lot of money to get that certification, and often don’t have much competition within a region. If the prevailing rate for body labor is $50 per hour, the Tesla shop…
Dude I work in PR. Our job is to respond to negative events or press. Tesla is not a person. It’s a company with specific interests to advance.
