“You are correct, but that’s a painfully reduced take.”

Just curious, but what would you say “feels” like a 60k car?

“ The C8 can repeat that performance anytime, anywhere, as many times as you want.”

“Maybe that is difference between enthusiasts and “enthusiasts”.”

The Model 3 is impressive. There’s no real way one can spin an American made export, outselling established German brands in Europe, forcing them to shift towards an aggressive EV strategy, as effectively as it has...at a time when cars sales are in a downturn, at that.

“Ditch that painfully minimalist interior and give me a real driving-oriented cockpit.”

You’d think Jalop would echo items like this, a bit louder. One of the best performance cars on the market, is cheaper than it’s ever been, and it’s like they couldn’t care less.

They’re making their higher volume, cheaper options even cheaper (the 3)...and increasing the price of their lower volume, expensive cars (S and X), to compensate (but also reducing the price of the highest performance variants). This sets up a better space to insert the Model Y.

That’s called confirmation bias. I’ve owned and tracked many of my cars, including Tesla’s, and a few people falling asleep or driving distracted is just that. The brand of car you drive doesn’t make you a car enthusiast...and even then, it’s about responsible driving, not whether or not a person finds enthusiasm in it

Right, I get you. I meant it more a as a figure-of-speech, but those people clearly prefer the BEV aspects of hybrid ownership.

Current technology (they’re both current, so it’s more like “legacy technology) requires me to run an errand.

I don’t understand the Disney parking (I think you make a great point), but if I had to guess, I believe those people in PHEVs prefer the BEV aspects of their cars, and so they attempt to treat them like one.

“It’s so painfully obvious that almost nobody here drives an EV even though everyone has an opinion about EVs.”

I dunno, but to me, this argument never really held up in the real-world. Anywhere that I need to go, becomes far when it exceeds about 5 hours worth of driving (as dictated by my 310 miles of range, which is plenty capable of handling a typical trip between DC and NYC, for example). 20-30 minutes worth of a

You’re implying the sales aren’t coming at the expense of rival car manufacturers, lol. I get it, you do like buttons and don’t like Tesla...but their success isn’t happening in a vacuum. Before I was countering an opinion, this time it’s objective.

You stated an opinion, so you were countered with one. However, one of our opinions is supported by the class-leading sales, so there’s merit.

If it had a hatch like it’s bigger siblings I would have bought one.

“I find the Tesla reality distortion field to be even more powerful than Apple’s, given they can make people think something largely done for cost savings is some sort of revolutionary improvement in ergonomics.”

“But having to use a fucking touchscreen to do nearly everything in the car is stupid.”

Now close only your right eye. Still see the screen in the center?”
