I was once a much bigger Annie Lennox fan than I am now, mainly because of the distinction between Eurythmics and Solo Annie. To me, she's undeniably a great singer, but she's not so much what I would call a great *songwriter* — while she's certainly capable of hitting on a great song occasionally, entirely too much

He was at the ticket gate planning to board a regular flight in the conventional way, and thus would have had to get through airport security somehow. He changed plans on the fly, and stowed away in the wheel well of the other plane, only after seeing Archer and Pam in the airport.

Green Bay was just the closest major airport to where they were going. Pam grew up on a dairy farm somewhere in rural Wisconsin (I don't recall if they've ever named a specific real or fictional town name), not in Green Bay.

Now I'm holding out for a Krieger-centric Memento parody!

AJ hadn't been born yet when Krieger and his clone brothers fell off the silo. Regardless of whether it's Original Krieger or Clone Krieger, the only possibility that exists of this not being the *same* Krieger who was present at AJ's birth is if more than one of them survived the fall, the others secretly stowed away

Indeed. I'm a gay man who's hypersensitive to "gay panic" jokes, and nothing in this episode landed in that territory whatsoever.

Canada tends to be like that too.

Admittedly by some definitions of the term he wouldn't — but many people do use it more broadly to encompass the entire range of congenital or acquired physical "differences" (inclusive of dwarfism, finger or toe amputations, cleft palate/harelip, and other things that aren't strictly "disabling" but still mark the

Me too…

Admittedly I'm over 40 and gay, but the idea that "Mrs. Doubtfire" is what people are likeliest to know Harvey Fierstein from, rather than "Torch Song Trilogy" or "Hairspray", just makes me feel old and gay.

I thought Elvis, personally…

I was going to say something about Lesbians on Ecstasy too, but thought I should scan the comments before jumping in just in case someone had beat me to it.

Thanks for the support ;-)

Yeah, I found it kind of odd too — maybe being in my 40s I'm just too old to judge dancers the same way that a teenaged audience member does, but I certainly didn't see Jenna as more nakedly "competitive" than any of the other contenders in what is, as you correctly point out, a competition. She wasn't my favourite of

I can't speak to Mushroomhead or Coal Chamber, having never knowingly heard a single song by either of them — but Korn and Limp Bizkit and Slipknot were actively *repugnant* in numerous ways, independently of the purely *sonic* details of their musical style, that SOAD failed to match. For instance, SOAD's lyrics were

I think maybe you missed the part where I said I *wasn't* an SOAD fan, if you think I'm "rationalizing" anything. I've never owned an album of theirs in my life, I've only ever been exposed to their music by osmosis (i.e. happening to be around when somebody else was playing it), and I've never once in my entire life

I think you might need to ponder the difference between "what the band is actively going after" and "who happens to respond to it". I knew plenty of people back then who were into SOAD while *not* being into any of the other nu-metal bands, so all we've proven is that different people have different experiences.

I'm with the other responders on this one — Chehon was the technician that year, not the "personality" (that was Cyrus). I was actually pulling for Cole, because to me he had the best blend of strength in both areas, but once he was out Chehon was definitely the correct choice out of who was left.

I think you're right. Jenna last year was a good example, I think — her dance skills couldn't be faulted one bit, but for whatever reason she didn't come off as "relatable" to a big chunk of the show's audience (I kept hearing in forums like this, but not seeing with my own eyes, that she was a "hypercompetitive

I actually think cute vs. sexy played a role in Melanie/Sasha, too. Not that Melanie was undeserving or anything, but they were probably the most closely matched "either one of them could win and truly deserve it" pair of finishers in the show's entire history, and I think being pixie-cute, rather than flat-out sexy
