I actually like Launchy better than Quicksilver, so I'd love to use it on a Mac.

UPDATE: Several readers rightly point out that your burning handheld laser could pose a safety risk to humans, especially when pointed at eyeballs.

I'm with Zyada...you have to be earning minimum wage for this to be worthwhile.

It's easier to end the conversation if you do so while you have control of it. Just follow up on whatever the other person said last, end with a statement, and politely excuse yourself (a watch does come in handy here). If it's hard to get control just interrupt and reiterate a point they've just made. Checking your

I've used a similar technique over the years to do everything from quitting drugs and alcohol to establishing an exercise program. The only difference is that I used a monthly calendar and instead of crossing off each day I wrote the number of days in a row I had been successful. Seeing those numbers grow is a huge

I discovered the equivalent of this trick by accident when I was a kid (and was in need of glasses but didn't realize it yet). In my variation, you pinch your thumb and forefinger together on both hands so the tip of your forefinger is even with the tip of your thumb. Curl up the rest of your fingers, turn your hands

I've just done the opposite...after not having cable (or local TV channels) for the past 10 years I reconnected. I plan on disconnecting again when the promo period expires...plenty of interesting stuff to watch but too much wasted time.

You can extend the life of any razor cartridge by rinsing it off after use and wiping it dry with a wadded piece of TP.

jendomme, I applaud anyone willing to put their lives on the line to defend the freedom you so take for granted.

BTW, if you buy it the day Leopard is announced from a local store you should be able to get it with Tiger installed and a free upgrade to Leopard. This gives you a copy of Tiger to fall back on in case there are problems with Leopard in its first release.

Wait until Leopard (possibly next month) if you can...you'll save the $100 upgrade fee, there will likely be a new version of iLife out at the same time and you'll save on that, plus there's a slight possibility that an updated version of the MacBook will be out by the end of June.

Run, do not walk, to the following URL and download a copy of Remote Buddy:

Does Google still have a home page? I haven't tried visiting it since they released Google Toolbar.

I hate to say it, but switch to the Mac...iPhoto will automatically detect duplicate photos on import and ask if you want to reimport or skip them.
