Another American here with a fix for soccer, even though I only follow it every 4 years. I say if the goalie catches the ball it shouldn’t be a goal kick. Instead possession should stay with the offensive team with a free kick somewhere outside the box.  Kinda of like when a hockey goalie catches the puck they keep it…
