I’m more scared to be in a crash in the 818R than I am of having to withstand the go-kart stiffness of the car.

Yes but how easy/hard is it to make left turn when you have cars infront of you blocking your view of the cars coming from the other side?

You knew it was way too low and you still low-balled them? Tsk tsk :D

But it’s RHD, which is a giant pain here in the US, especially when making left turn at left turn only lanes...

No. Just no. Go read all the glowing(/s) reviews of the genesis coupe that people posted when recent announcement of its death was posted here. Test drove one and one of those rare times where I didn’t even want to drive the car back to the dealership. It was that bad. And I test drove a 1998 323i so I have pretty low

I don’t think it ever dropped that low, since only the really crappy version ever got below 35k USD, IIRC.

Cash? Yeesh I’d go with cashier’s check and go with guy to his bank so that as soon as the check clears I get the damn title. No freaking way I’m carrying more than 5k in cash to buy anything.

It started with the round light, so it should stay with round lamp. End of discussion. LOL

About the out of the grey. Not sure if it’d matter once Jalopnik gets scooped up, because the new owner may very well hose the whole thing and start over...

The C300 4matic is not fun either, at least not the previous gen. AND it gets crappier gas mileage than the Camry, plus it uses premium instead of 87. AND it’s slower 0-60(yeah he likely didn’t care, but it does lose in that regard). Your suggestion only works if he intends to lease a new car ever 3-5 years and not

Saw this post referenced from A review of Every car.... If you’re not a senior, why would you *need* big print version with real buttons? ;)

The focus is not boxy either, so it’s not like you’re getting more space. In fact, the focus has a pretty severely raked rear glass, so it’s not like you’re much better off with that. And let’s not forget, the Focus even with its “hatch” still has a tiny space behind the rear seats, measured from the floor to the top

I think Garland’s reply was great at pointing out the benefits of liftback over a sedan. Granted it’s still not a boxy hatchback, but let’s be honest here; The focus is not a boxy hatchback, and neither is the mazda 3, so it’s not like you’re gaining much(if at all) with the focus/3.

Your explanation is much better than mine haha :P

Yeah I know it’s just a sedan with glass opening, but hey it beats the sedan. I’d think the retooling(or should I say different parts/stamping) involved for having a proper hatchback would be much more than what’s done here. Besides, there just aren’t that many people who buy hatchbacks vs sedans, just like wagons vs

Pointless? I’d say this gives a lot more utility than the sedan, since the rear shelf is no longer immovable, so you get to shove things diagonally up into the rear passenger space. Besides I’d take this over a short hatchback like a golf that doesn’t really have (much) more cargo space even with the upright rear

If it’s considered the best one ever made, they won’t be worth squat right now. Again, I say, 300SL or 300SLR are way more desirable than this.

It’s worth very little at this point. Crappy version can be had for 6k, and that tells you something. Crappy 1983 carrera fetches triple that at least.

It’s just a 380SL. Not even a 450SEL, it’s a middle of the road version of a generation that’s not particularly memorable. Quick check for 1983 one with 43k is asking for 18k right now. Heck crappier version is asking for 6k USD. It’s FAR from the 300SL or the SLR. Bleh.

Indian!=Native American. Indians are from India FFS. And if you REALLY want to be pedantic, it’s the indigenous people, as in the first people who started living here. NOT American Indian. That’s just rubbish.
