Emission or something alone that line. Can't remember the details so. The toyota engine+supercharger can't pass emission without massive amount of money to get it to pass, so Lotus just didn't bother. Don't think it has to do with crash standard so.

Road legal in CA. Yes in the super restrictive state of CA.

Actually it's 4455lbs according to wiki(yeah yeah I know), whereas the W140 S600 weighed at least 4900lbs...Even the subsequent W220 S600 weights 4488lbs, so the R129 is still lighter. I never did say it was as light as even the W211 or W210 so :P The video was that of a W220(Xenon/non-squared off headlights and the

Plenty of 30-40 yr old males make enough money to be able to afford a 65k car if saving for 2-3 yr while still having enough left for pesky things like mortgage. So yes, not really that expensive. Now if it's a 100k car and above, whole different story...

Yeah but the complexity/reliability of the old 750ils are reasons why they're so cheap these days. Of course if you got money to burn... :D

Probably the only one out of all the M120 equipped one I'd actually buy for this awful exercise in wasting money because it's the lightest...

Those are the twin turbo V12's. This one is the old V12.

(Most) Anything fits in the FF cobra if you got the money to make it fit :P

Might not be the answer you're looking for, but go check mbworld and benzworld for the reliability/problems for the M120 in the S600/etc as well as for the car itself. Like phDiesel said, improperly maintained ones can become a money pit really quick, and you still need to continue that less you have the burning

What makes a conversion kit easier to make for this thing instead of the Campagna? Once this becomes 4 wheels it's a whole different ballgame to get reg'd in the state that the promo materials were shot in. This is ignoring the fact that a new rear section + suspension need to be bolted to the tubular structure(and

Well that and I wasn't really sure what you were trying to say in the first paragraph, because if you were using "i.e." correctly, your sentence would take on a different meaning as opposed to "e.g." which a lot of people tend to not use when they want to say "for example".

That's not what I said. I just said some, your comment was saying "who", which equates to no one would do this. So my statement remains valid. You just changed from "who/no one" to "not most". Huge difference.

Please just release a devastator(preferably better than the 80's version) and with the Superion I'm set. I'm not blowing $500+ for the Bruticus because I know I will just play with it for 5 minutes every month and it's just going to sit there gather dust :D

Who buys a base trim car? Come on now, that's a really lame argument. Not everyone has the dough and/or the lack of self-control to have to buy a car in higher trim.

"Proof"! NOT "prove"!! Argh.

It starts at 25k. BIG difference.

An accord back in 1999 used to have a V6(the bigger engine, not even the base) that has a whopping 200hp and goes to 60 in 8 seconds. I used to drive one so I know how "slow" that is. That was 15 years ago. And pretty much every family sedan back then made do with 8 seconds to get to 60. So all of a sudden the twins

That 5k more expensive than the BRZ makes it 30k, at which point all the people who whined about not getting an affordable sports car would not actually want to fork over the 30k. They already got 370Z and a few other sports car to buy at that price point, and they still whined about those being expensive. So no, 5k
