Obviously you have no idea how horribly expensive and PITS it is to fix or replace a leaking 993 targa, because otherwise you would not make that kind of comment. Really, the true targa is the pre-993 style. Even if the rear window doesn't go down, it's still way better than the sliding glass thing that plagued us

That IS the pre-993 targa. What are you talking about?

So how long do they last with diesel then? More than 500k? Or just something like 200k?

....The article linked says Scarborough. It would've taken you less than 10 seconds to figure that out, since that was mentioned in the first sentence on cbc website...

Simple math. The article mentioned only 13,000 C6s were sold in the last 3 years(including 2012). There are 3000 chevy dealers, so that makes it 4 per dealer. So they should have at least sold that many during the the lame duck years of the C6. Requiring them to have sold 12 (as in 2006) is a bit unreasonable since

Aren't there two very similar lotus F1 teams, where one is run by Lotus cars who makes the Lotus Elise/Exige, etc, and the other is not? Is it the same case for Le Mans?

I guess you didn't drive the one with the 6 cyl., because that car definitely had enough power to let you drive pretty fast. And I used to own an GR STI so I know what fast means.

Reminds me of the game Total Annihilation that was released many years back. Hmm

Curse you living on the east coast. It's only 11:29 here in sunny California. OTOH I could also go on a nice drive on Sunday since it's still sunny and mild temp. LOL

F10 has it too so it's not new.

Any time a wheel is modified the metal is weakened. I'd rather just buy new wheels that fit the car (preferably no spacers) and store the original wheels.

Wheel cover? You're totally clueless aren't you.

I guess the pic with the two guys mounting the roof is so significant that you had to show it twice in row? LOL

It's 165 which is NOT ~200 but who's counting?

Twatara huh?

The 991 GT3 is still slower than the SRT Viper , TA and GTS which are stick not automated manual. And it's slower than many dedicated track cars that cost about the same or less anyway.

I get what you are saying. But with a SRA, it's impossible to have a near perfect contact patch. I understand tires can cope with surface irreg. But the suspension should be responsible for keeping the tires in full contact with the road, not the tire themselves. It's only when the suspension can no longer do so do

That depends on how the suspension is set up too. If roll is such a problem F1 cars would still be rocking SRA.

Well price on both items have went up quite a bit. So no longer such a hot deal. Guess I'll wait several months. Not ready to blow 300+ for a vid card again anyway...

"Only" on the roughest of surfaces? When your two rear tires are not on the same straight plane, they will NOT make optimal contact with the road. Run over a pothole with one tire or frost-heave, guess what, one of the tires is now having less of a contact patch than an IRS equipped car would have. Simple as that. The
