I’ve given Tillamook multiple chances to impress me with their expensive, thick-cut fancy cheese in my grocer’s deli case, and they have let me down every time. This is crap cheese with a good PR agent.

Oh, that’s a great show! What channel is it on now?
Same here. Two local restaurants — one a 50's style diner and one a wings joint — both make cherry Coke with grenadine syrup. I never knew it was pomegranate-based, but then I’ve also never tasted a pomegranate.
I don’t have the sanity to try a seven page long tortilla recipe, but it does make me miss a particular restaurant’s corn tortillas. They had those irregular edges that say “homemade!” and also always smelled of corn and lavender. They are/were heavenly.
Articles like this really highlight the (sadly, political) divide in this country between those who believe in science and those who don’t. I’m in the deep south, in an area almost wholly dependent on tourism dollars to survive, and the attitudes here could not possibly be more different than what I’m seeing in other…
Finally, a piece of music pop culture on this site I can relate to.
MTV wasn’t even on the cable where I lived until my senior year of high school in 1994, so I missed out a lot of the early days of the channel. After we had it, I watched it maybe one time during prime time and then never again. To this day I don’t like or watch music videos unless that’s the only way I can find a…
Mine has been the taco flavor Doritos in the throwback packaging. I never got snacks much and I’m not a snackaholic now, so getting them last week was as much of a treat as they were during childhood.
*swoon* that brings back good memories!
Because Subway is as inescapable as the grim spectre of death. My town is just under 15,000 people, but we have four Subway locations, including one in a hospital. Granted, that’s still fewer than Dollar General: 5, with a sixth one being built. At least we still only have one Starbucks.
This is nice. I was bemoaning the lack of weird-smelling bread and bottom-dollar garbage cold cuts at my local Publix, what with their in-house bakery and Boar’s Head meats. Who do they think I am, Rockerfeller Van Asterbilt?
I had no idea such a thing existed.
“Would I recommend someone eat it everyday? No. However, if someone wants to enjoy a high quality, personal-sized pie or slice once a week, go for it! Life is about living. Food does not need to be either/or.”
It looks interesting to me, too, but the animation in some of the previews has turned me off. Then again, I got past the janky CGI in The Dragon Prince and loved it, so maybe it’s time for me to give this a shot.
I’m the same boat, if it weren’t for the final episode and the write-ups here, I’d have lost the plot long ago.
The Avocado does reviews of BB and some other shows that AV Club has dropped, but I can’t speak to the quality or consistency of the reviews. The commentary, though, is not far behind here.
I wouldn’t mind the slideshow so much if when I press the “Next >” button it doesn’t take me to the same position I’m at now, but on the next page. Surely there’s an easy way for the site to jump to the top of the next page automagically? Short snippets on each page like this aren’t quite as annoying, but on longer…
I just wish I had more counter space. It’s not a tiny kitchen but the way it’s designed it’s just lacking a lot of countertop area. And it’s too small for an island.
This is epic, but you get the star for “dinglehopper”.
Holy cow, Magic for Humans is getting a third season. Such a great under-the-radar show. It’s great magic and gives me more laughs per episode than most comedies I watch…
