Nuncle, you may want to sit down to a dish of overstuffed lamprey pie with glazed honey cakes and a nice brown ale to wash it down, because there's half a hundred reasons why the quality of Martin's writing is becoming little and less. I swear it on my sigil, which is three purpure crabs on a field of azure.

If I had to guess, Shirley's diminished presence has something to do with Megan Ganz leaving the writing staff.

It's even more frustrating when they have Walt show up, filmed at an obtuse angle (one that could effectively cover up his change in age if used properly), telling Locke to "get up because there's work to do" before disappearing, and Locke just blurts out that it was "Walt, but taller", which gets no explanation or

I'm just still not sold on why they decided to make the (non-time-travel-related) series take place over such a small period of time. The first season amounted to about a month. In later seasons, it's kind of apparent that they've built a more or less self-sustaining system and could live there indefinitely. Why

I sort of feel like part of the point of this presentation is working with what's already there, and as such I don't really like the idea that they used Minecraft, unless they didn't actually build the areas themselves (I know there are towns and structures and stuff that generate in the world in the latest versions).

Super late entry, but whatever:

It's always amusing to see poetry written by people who don't typically write poetry, because they always forget the meter and using proper emphasis. Conversely, the songs and poems in Tolkien's novels all follow the rules and flow properly, probably because he was a linguist at heart.

I have a love hate relationship with hard puzzles like this. I hate how it just completely ruins the flow of the game, but love the fact that I walk away one day with absolutely no idea how to solve it, but come back the next day and suddenly everything clicks and the solution just falls into place.

New Vegas definitely avoids that "dungeon/quest template" feeling that Skyrim and to a slightly lesser extent Fallout 3 have. The whole world feels a lot more like a world and less like a smattering of dungeons and towns. There's also a lot of variety in the world itself. I would definitely recommend playing it if you

You should definitely do the DLC content ASAP, and I'm assuming you also haven't done the Painted World (another great area!) or maybe the return to the Asylum (a fun diversion with some great rewards). I'd say you would be better served doing that stuff in NG instead of waiting for NG+.

That reminds me that the first DLC for Dark Souls 2 is just around the corner (2 weeks away I think)!

I actually really liked the RPG mode in Ehrgeiz; it was a completely different game and pretty fun in its own right. What I DIDN'T like was that the game expected you to use both of the characters without really telling you, because once you get to the final boss with one (beefy and decked-out in my case) character,

I should play it this weekend and post in the Revue club. I already played it around when it came out, so most of the puzzles have already been solved, but there are definitely a few that I had trouble with and didn't really internalize exactly how I solved them (such as the one puzzle with two platforms on the left

But Gau is kind of broken if you put in the effort to get some of the more ridiculous Rages. Although, I'm not sure how well he stacks up against late-game enemies.

Hopefully they're working on a big expansion like the two that GTA4 got (and took about a year to come out as well).

It's not even just that they're crammed and rushed, it's that the episodes have a "and then this happened and then this happened and then THIS happened" feeling, with absolutely no emotional context or resonance other than "ok here's what these characters would do in this situation". The stuff in S6 with the submarine

I'd say they did it more to give Shannon something to do, since after Boone gets it, that's practically all she had going for her storyline-wise.

I used to play Ganondorf primarily, who is essentially a slow Captain Falcon!

Yup, I know next-to-nothing about the overall strategy of fighting games, but the casters do a good job of detailing specific matchups, threats, tactics, and risky moves that it's easy to get your feet wet (and involved!) without having that extensive prior experience.

But this article is about Evo, not esports in general.
