That is frightening.

Hey everyone, Norm’s here!

I felt really bad for O.J. Simpson until I remembered I don’t give a shit about anyone’s fantasy football team, and also that time he killed his ex-wife and a waiter.

Laura was so preoccupied with whether or not she could, she didn’t stop to think about whether she should.

I mean...of anyone in the MLB, Verlander especially has the right to be super protective over who has access to his cell phone information.

I could be wrong, but I believe he’s being sarcastic and simply showing how rediculous it is to compare what luck does with steel workers.

The Major sport that’s hardest on your body, is far and away the worst for your brain (and long term risks), but pays far and away the least and guarantees nothing in contracts (and has a history of fucking over it’s retirees) is having a problem with players walking away from the game.

Maybe, according to Dan Dakich, we pay our football players too much. A cursory google search shows that Andrew Luck has made about $50,000,000 in his “brief” NFL career. Clearly more than enough to retire comfortably on.

Dan Dakich’s family members who are steel mill workers, cops and teachers make considerably less

If there was a young man in literally any other profession who made $100 million before he was 30 and decided to retire, he would be lauded. The Wall Street Journal would write thousands of words of wankery praising his acumen and smarts and god bless America.

Money was never the issue. Even before he joined the NFL or went to Stanford, he already had bags of gold in his gigantic castle in the sky.

Nobody star this.

You mean 3/5ths?

“My guys are fucking savages in that fucking juice box, right?”

This is so out of touch the NCAA is regarding a Bachelor’s Degree: Only one college friend of mine is actually practicing in the discipline in which he holds a degree (doctor). I have a physics degree and is in charge of programming at my company, another friend has a business degree and owns medical clinics

he’d have spelled clutch right with a 4 yr degree

I’m actually with the NCAA on this one.  If you have an agent that forwent college to pursue more lucrative work opportunities, I just can’t imagine how that qualifies you to mentor young men who are choosing to forgo college for more lucrative work opportunities. Better to go the route Adam Silver did, and get a poli

So, does the NFL do anything at all to help out a player having a mental health crisis or are they just on their own for that?

The only way to shift all blame away from the Warriors, as Durant at least appears to be doing, is to insist that the calf injury and the Achilles injury are completely unrelated

This comment is the closest thing we’ve had to a Ley-bear post in forever.
