Bytes, or kb? 640k was the edge of XMS (or maybe EMM), where you had to load a memory manager to get more. That was in the mid ‘90’s. Before that, I don’t have much of an idea. I was a user at that point, not a fixer.
I’ve seen the inventory site before... to be honest, I have more appreciation for a rousing game of “what the hell kind of plane is THAT?” So far, I’ve only found 4 or 5 that I can’t identify. I could’ve sworn I saw a D-21 there a while back, but I’m not seeing it now.
I worked at an anonymous chain restaurant back before they’d deliver to your car - the customer actually had to come in to pick up the food. When we were scheduled shifts to work the to-go counter, we were paid minimum wage. Waiting tables, we got the standard waitstaff wage (I think it was $2.12 at the time), but we…
What I find interesting is that 90% of people who worked at Starbucks hated it, and celebrate the anniversary of their departure with a glee usually reserved for winning the lottery the second time.

I had to watch a couple of times to catch it, but you can clearly see something white fall at that time.
I know that the main purpose of AMARG is storage and spares, but why keep all the frames that have been retired by every operator? Looking at Google Earth, anyone with a modicum of aircraft knowledge can pick out 5 - 10 different types of airframes that are completely retired.
There are a couple of reasons to dump fuel, but bear in mind that we’re discussing 2 different things here; dumping fuel, dumping fuel and lighting it on fire.

To this day, “Where are you from” tickles me. I graduated from HS in Anchorage, and I added up the time we were in different locations... between 2 full tours at Elmendorf and living there for 18 months while dad did an ‘unaccompanied’ tour in Keflavic, I can confidently say that I grew up in Alaska.
“becoming slightly asymmetrical” - what a wonderfully interesting euphemism. I think that phrase tells more about you than anything else. Seems a little hollow, but we appreciate your sacrifice and service, both as a service member, and as a family member.
Until your dad’s an O-3 and you get in trouble for ‘corrupting’ the bird’s daughter.
Air Force brat here. Yes, yes, a thousand times yes.
I’ve checked occasionally, and still not eligible. D’oh!
Once you’ve got an account, you can search for subreddits that have content that interests you, and subscribe to just those subreddits. Then, you’ve got a personal front page that shows you posts from just your subscribed subreddits. If you get on there, send me a PM (same username, but without the -pt-III) and I can…
Naw, just making the same kind of snarky comment as you.
How has nobody posted this yet?
No, Reddit ran out of stories.
I use AdBlock, and have no issues with Kinja.
