With all the asshole cops and wanna-be cops in the news for shooting melanin-enhanced persons right and left, I feel that the universe is trying to harsh my bliss and enjoyment of "Justified" and police procedural novels.

So it there the possibility that Vasquez has been corrupted by Markham? Maybe this isn't even a plot point to factor into the last two episodes but it does explain why he's so strongly working at cross-purposes against Raylan.
