I believe Archer is the first place I've heard the term "octaroon" trotted out since the (hidden) special features for Dr. Horrible.

OK, I'm gay, but Lana was fucking hot in this episode as the chauffeuse. I don't know what it was, but she was just striking.

As much as I love Acid Betty's looks, she didn't take this challenge seriously and needed to go. If she comes back, I'll get Acid Reflux.

I think the group could really use some Jeff Winger speeches instead.

Daryl just needs a haircut. There's no excuse for that shipwreck survivor shag at this point.

They don't know what more to do with well-developed characters except kill them off.

This episode was SO Campbellian. I found myself trying to identify the call to adventure, crossing the first threshold, meeting the goddess, trials and tribulations, dark night of the soul, atonement … which is to say, I loved it.

OK, am I the only one consistently mystified by how the Community Grade works? The histogram makes it look like it should be B+, where the highest peak is (the mode), but the grade is B. Is there a right skew pulling the grade down? It doesn't look like there's much of a tail …

It also diverts people's attention from seeing the pros do it.

Obama is secretly bicurious

Flashbacks to St. Patrick's Day in elementary school when I didn't get the memo about wearing green (that narrow stripe on my shorts was teal green, not teal blue — I swear to God). The physical pain of the other children's pinches was insignificant compared to the emotional pain of isolation.

I found my original chat with a friend the day after it aired:

The first time I saw that I screamed and pushed my laptop monitor back. I almost thought I'd imagined it, because I didn't see any references in reviews, and my friend missed that moment because he looked away or something.

"Metamorphosis" has really clumsy verb forms.

Whoah there, Nellie. Definitely aware of the Futurama reference — I was adding on my own. In retrospect, I probably should've replied directly to Harvey Dent to avoid confusion.

The first time I watched it after being aware of the gag, I kept watching and rewinding that bit until I got frustrated and went to YouTube. Troy's "I wanna lick it!" still rings in my ears every time I watch the episode.

Or, "You're entitled to your wrong opinion."

They provided so little time for us to get to know the mother, they ended up trying way too hard to make her awesome/likable, which just made me roll my eyes.

I'm a Community superfan, and I still miss one or two of those shots whenever I watch The Psychology of Letting Go.

That's a big part of the problem — the pacing was so off, it made for frustrating viewing because they spent the least amount of time on the most important things.
