last time I shaved off the beard, my daughter (12 at the time?) just looked horrified and shouted “Put it Back! I want my Daddy!” She’s 19 now, the beard’s never left since.

drove a ‘13 SE for a couple of years after my ‘06 Vibe got totaled (was hoping to track down a last-year Matrix, but no avail). I thought it handled fine for what it was and was a solid commuter (at the time I was stuck with a 100+ mile commute 3 days a week), though that 4 speed auto (no stick available anywhere) was

stale peeps are the best peeps.  Waiting a year might be pushing it, but opening the seal and waiting a week or so is totally worth it.

I’m 6'3" myself, and I fit fine in the iM, I’ve got at least 2 inches between my head and the ceiling ; and while it’s tight, my 6'1" son can fit behind me in a pinch (though it’s usually the smaller kid, and we have a minivan as well..). I think you lose some headroom in the back over the Vibe (roof line slopes back a

slightly bigger than a Versa, and in my experience, much more engaging to drive.

absolutely loved my ‘06 Vibe, then some idiot rear-ended me and totaled it a few years back (we walked away; hell, we still drove away). After a couple of years in a Yaris, I got the iM - it’s a solid successor to the Vibe/Matrix.

I’ve had the ‘16 Scion version as a daily driver for the last three years, and it does the job admirably, being comfortable, fuel efficient (low to mid 30s), regularly holds all the gear for a five piece rock band, and is surprisingly spry with the six-speed manual.

I’m picturing a team-up/heist film with Loki, Anansi, Coyote and a couple of other trickster figures from various mythologies, finding them having to save the world because of their particular skills are what’s necessary....y’know, what Suicide Squad *should* have been.

I routinely pulled out over 36mpg in my 2006 5MT Pontiac Vibe (which was essentially a Toyota Corolla/Matrix), right up until that idiot rear-ended me at 45mph. Still miss that car.

that rear cargo compartment carpet - the brown M&Ms of detailing?

Top Secret! always gets the star.

‘twas a wonderful book, though I had to take my time with it, because every chapter was so damned depressing.

since I moved away from Pennsylvania decades ago, I have, in the past, had a ring or two from Kowalonek’s Kielbasy Shop in Shenandoah PA shipped overnight to my current residence.

to be fair, that could just be two photos of McCauley Culkin...

I used to find the simple chicken salad sandwich at Panera bread to be pretty much the perfect lunch; not too heavy on the mayo, a little spicy mustard, lettuce, tomato...really hit the spot.

...at least you didn’t read “away” as “anyway”, and have a really unpleasant image conjured up.  Ew.

I love that this exists; it seems to be a well-put-together piece of kit (i.e. - it doesn’t sag in the middle like many custom limo jobs); however, 25k for a 92 Roadmaster woody wagon, even with an extra set of doors, is at least 20k too much.

I missed him until you pointed him out.  Dammit. :-(

or, they’re fooling us all, and resurrecting Pontiac with the new Fiero!

or ride in the trunk, in case you get drunk....
