You may be wondering why we haven’t talked about disc brakes. It’s because drum brakes are still popular among over-the-road trucks, because, well, they work well enough

It is unique now even though the FJ40 had it. All other vehicle doors have the complete body panel on them including the new bronco.

As a Detroiter, I hope with all my heart this pro-Trump crowd all safely return to the suburbs from which they came. I hope they are so incensed they never step foot in the city again — not even for a Red Wings game. Really, I mean it.

I think you meant 1,142 wh/mil (80,000/70). I did a coast down test on my 2005 F150 unloaded and it worked out to 55 hp @ 70 mph so I could see double that when towing a large non aerodynamic trailer.

“This internal combustion thing is bullshit! Somebody just DIED from getting hit by one of these things at a blistering 4mph. Shut. It. Down.” - Raph in 1896

Yeah no problem. It’s on the family farm and I actually don’t work there though it was my idea to buy it. As far as I know we have had zero issues with it. I’ll ask my brother about fuel economy but it will kind of be like off-road fuel economy not really compare able to much.

Farmer Here, We have side by sides and just bought a Roxor. The Roxor can tow more, hold more, is more comfortable than due to longer wheel base and is only slightly more money than our diesel side by sides (14k vs 17k). It saves us having to use a tractor to tow fuel trailers, water trailers around, makes a great

The Bronco looks to have a nice bash plate to protect the under body. I wouldn’t argue that the front end of the Bronco is more durable or tough than a SFA, but it just seems like the diff is the last thing I would worry about up there since it will have a skid plate. The main reason I will trade my JK in for a Bronco

I think an open diff plus stability control is safer for driving in snow because one tire can spin while one doesn’t for directional stability. And traction control is pretty amazing even with open diffs, that being said I would prefer limited slip for a performance standpoint and driving fast.

Have you seen a front diff failure from impact on an IFS vehicle with a skid? I don’t think it will reasonably happen.

You sound like a nice guy.

Actually one bad weekend in Chicago kills more innocent black people than in a whole year by the police. You seem to quote statistics “ostensibly more likely” yet have none to back it up.

Would be awesome, but I don’t think it would happen because it would hurt performance. From a marketing standpoint the GT500 engine is the next logical choice to advance the truck. Unfortunately Ford isn’t in the business of making the Raptor simpler and more reliable since most Raptor buyers aren’t planning 500,000

Ford ecoboost engines run rich under high load and boost, the 7.3 is more efficient under high load than an ecoboost because it runs stoichiometric.

The ford 6.2 ain’t pushrod

I own a new sxr and old super jet. The 1500 sxr is a blast and after you ride it everything hurts. I have not been in a faster accelerating vehicle than that sxr. It’s listed as 1000 lbs of thrust and our combined weight is ~725 lbs so 1.4 gs. The super jet is a completely different boat to ride, it slides and doesn’t

The 7.3 was tongue in cheek because I was saying the 5.0 is superior to the 2.7 because its is basically the same weight, makes way more power, and has smooth power delivery. Then someone chimes in that the 3.5 tows more in the F150, but the 3.5 is not in the Bronco!?

Ford doesn’t put ecoboost in the F250 and above line of trucks...

I was comparing the 5.0 to the 2.7 that is in the Bronco. But if you want to play this game then I say the 7.3 V8 is the king of towing for gas motors. It’s funny that Ford even lets you know they don’t trust the ecoboost since they don’t put it in the F250, and instead built a brand new NA V8 for it.
