HP is king when you are running wide open. The downshift will multiply the torque more then you lose by moving off the torque peak.

The base 33k gladiator already has crank windows without apple car play. And that’s the manual price.

Ranger xl crew cab 31660

I actually wasn’t worried about the durability, more the ride quality. The frame bending mode is fully undamped and ride quality is important to my wife which is why I’m ditching a SFA JKUR for the F150.

Yeah, that was the weight of the truck I just bought. I understand why people like the smaller proportions of the mid size truck, I considered the Taco because of the manual option, but with another baby on the way full size is a luxury that didn’t cost much. Good thing too because right now I have 1500 lbs of disk

Is a fully loaded F150 XLT FX4 6 passenger crew cab 145” wheelbase with 10 way power seats driver and passenger comparable to a fully loaded frontier? It’s 5060 lbs with over 18 gallons of fuel. (36 gallon tank).

Just doesn’t make sense to me to compare the fuel economy of a 2 seat sports car to a 5 seat sedan/coupe. That said the Corvette washes the S54 Z4M on every metric but revs so the point still stands.“

So you agree that the LS7 gets better gas mileage and outperforms an S54 in any Bmw including the as you said comparable Z4M. Thank you for proving my point.

Also why is every bmw a brick? Z4m is a small two seat roadster, with probably less frontal area then a corvette. The z06 never had a good CD and it still beats the Z4M.

Lol, you compared the z4m with the s54 engine to the corvette. Comparing a NA to a turbo motor isn’t fair as turbos make an engine more efficient. I thought we were comparing pushrods to Dohc, talk about moving goal posts.

Oops got my bmws confused, fueleconomy.gov has the Z4M getting worse fuel economy then the Z06 7.0 liter Vette. The 6.2 Vette is comparable to a turbo 135i in fuel economy. Seems pretty cut and dry.

So you are comparing the first LS motor to a motor 10 years newer. I see what you did there.

Comparing the LS to a turbo motor kind of defeats my point. The S54 doesn’t rev and has turbo torque so it can have the same gearing as the LS. I’d wager that the LS is lighter, smaller, and cheaper then an S54 with a bigger power potential. If you compare the LS against the Aston Martin Vantage and Maserati Granturism

I haven’t seen a NA torque curve flatter then an LS, what engine are you referring to?

Well you could say the Corvette is more aerodynamic because the LS allows a lower hood, you could say it‘a longer gearing is allowed because the engine makes good power down low. The front engine corvette is only possible because of the LS.

So your argument is that LS motors are peaky? Makes me question that you owned a LS.

So you would rather pay off Iran instead.

Lead acid are terrible in temperature changes? I’d say they are best of the common rechargeable battery chemistries. Tesla has to air condition and heat their battery. Nimh can’t handle freezing temperatures either.

The Prius CVT should be more efficient then traditional CVTs as there are no belts, hydraulics, or special friction transfer of power. It is just gears and electric motors just like an electric car or power plant.
