I’m 100% with you, yeah its pretty annoying how left leaning this site is with regards to policies of the current administration not realizing that a lot of the policies (everything minus the tariffs) is actually good for cars. Glad to hear I’m not the only conservative on this site.

I’m genuinely curious as to what the you are referring too. I guess you can make the case for the crash testing requirement, fuel economy, and emission requirement making it more difficult but wondering if I’m missing something.

Good point! As long as there is a market for something, someone will make it. Also with rev matching ability like on the new Toyota Corolla will also help young people opt for the manual. (as long as you can turn it off). Manuals are a hard sell because they are now slower, less efficient, and really not more reliable

Thumbs up

I can’t disagree with you but I’m not sure what your point is. My original point which seems to have been lost is that the Corvette is still a legitimate manual transmission torch bearer, especially in the class of cars it competes against.

Fiesta ST, Focus ST, RS, Mustang Bullitt and GT350 also 100% take rate. Ford was awesome for the manual, now since they are axing that Fiesta and Focus they are still better then most.

So the third best take rate? Either way its not “mega low”

I was kind of including those under Chevy and I’m not sure of the future of those. Still awesome cars by the way and kudos to Cadillac for still offering them.

ahem, Corvette has one of the highest manual take rates of any car

I agree with your sentiments. But at least those 4 cars are still solid with the manual for now, and that’s less then I can say about other car manufacturers. Ford Europe still will have Focus and Fiesta cars that we can only hope might make it back here for another round. I have a Chevy SS manual that I will never

Why not? and you forgot Focus, Fiesta, Corvette.

Ford, Chevy and Dodge are still doing their part for the manual.

The best way to stop is to leave the car in whatever gear you were in before the stop and don’t push the clutch in until the engine is just above idle. The clutch has zero wear when the pedal is out. The engine actually is burning no gas under engine braking and it’s very light load on the transmission and it will

Some people can rest there hand on shifter and not apply any force on the shif fork and collar, but you could easily wear out that interface prematurely if there is a lot of force for a long time.

Did the telescoping steering wheel allow you to be more comfortable being as tall as you are? I 6’4” and felt like the 2016 ND would fit me fine with no extra room, but I always pull the steering wheel towards me in every car I own. Trying to decide if I should get a 2018 or 2019.

If North Korea allowed its citizens to own guns do you still think the oppressive regime would still be in place?

The 1st amendment: Deomcrats don’t condemn Antifa and want facebook, twitter, and youtube to censor speech they don’t like. Democrats support the use of force for people to provide services for things they don’t like, like the religious baker and the gay wedding.
