Starting price of just 2,000 cheaper then the Raptor makes the Raptor seem like a bargain to me. I know they aren’t competitors but still.

Too bad Chevy and Dodge are too much of a pussy to build a truck that competes with the Raptor. Competition is good for the consumer.

Excellent article! I don’t understand why so many people are reading this as black and white. Obviously people can be car enthusiasts without enjoying driving. But for those of us that like cars because of driving don’t get sucked into the pitfall of worrying about devaluing your car by enjoying it. I myself have been

I see what you are saying, I agree its impossible for us to know what Rossberg’s intentions were. But he did let it slip that it was his line to dictate because he was the inside, even though he was behind Hamilton in his blind spot.

So if you understeer into another driver on the road its not your fault, just the damn car understeered? So when I wrapped a truck around pole it wasn’t my fault because it was the first rain of the year and there was oil on the ground? These are professional drivers and should be held accountable for failing to

Do you know what a blind spot is? Nico was in Hamilton’s blind spot because Hamilton was in front. There is no way for Hamilton to react to Nico.

Usually cars chime if you open the door with the engine running regardless of transmission gear. Are you sure it doesn’t chime when you open the door in park with the engine running?

Did you mean Aisin instead of Allison transmission?

That’s the answer Ford wants you to believe. It would be interesting from an engineering perspective to know where the weight difference is.

I don’t get the sarcasm, the BRZ engine never had the best power curve so I bet that the curve was the goal, not the peak power. Looking at peak power alone is probably missing the point entirely. At least drive it before repeatably downplaying it as a pointless upgrade. Miata lost “peak” power but gained performance

Chevy has always done a good job with weight and Ford not so much. Not sure why that is.

I would disagree, people act differently depending on the situation they are in. I would say riding a Harley with a group of riders can cause you to start acting like a biker gang. Car gangs are rare because socially they don’t really work. Obviously motorcyclists do not deserve to be run over and I’m not against

Remember peak numbers aren’t the whole game, the new Miata 2.0 has less peak power then before but more area under the HP curve. The BRZ engine is lacking in the broad power band department so all those parts would only make sense if they helped the whole curve because they don’t make sense for 5 peak HP. Props for

The YJ had 4 leafs, (not unlike the CJ) but the TJ has coils all the way around which allow for much more articulation and handling over 4 leafs, (I know I said ride quality and Jeep ihe same sentence) As you can see though YJs still command a premium over any other car of the same vintage and rarity.

I honestly didn't see any problems with the body in the video. I'm pretty sure the trunk has that gap on the bottom precisely for being used as a handle. This car is super low production carbon fiber for Corvette money with a super complex body, I expect the gaps. I honestly could care less about the gaps and rather

You are spot on about EFI and manufacturing processes playing a major part on engines durability. I’ll concede that those two factors account for most the durability increase in modern day engines as you had million mile engines in the 1990's. But materials have changed drastically especially since 2000. Piston and

Hey just saw your post, thanks for confirming that. Glad you are liking the 2.7. From what I hear about their power I have no idea why Ford de-rates their max towing capacity so much.

Wait what? Longer lasting metals? In the 1960 you would have to rebuild your engine typically before 100,000 miles. Now engines go at least 100,000. Tune ups are thing of the past. Materials are exactly the reason why modern engines and transmissions last longer.

It looks as though one of the reasons the Ford didn’t have front foot well damage is the front wheel gets flipped out and not into the foot well in the small overlap tests. I wonder if that is a fluke or by design because the wheel is not flipped out in the moderate overlap case.

I’ve been a car enthusiast for a long time and for the first time I can say all the cars that I want are American. But I don’t want those blue seats, who likes that? Porsche seemed to nail the interior, especially sans Alcantara, but I’m sure you could buy a FiST with money spent on interior options for the Porsche.
