The Federal government took in record in taxes this year, more than ever, and yet we still run deficits. It depends. Why use after tax dollars for investment when the government will lend you an additional 22% to leverage? It is prudent to invest in both pre-tax and post tax since we don’t know what the tax situation will be like in the future.
