What happens when the speaking market for cancelled free-speech warriors gets saturated? There are only so many CPAC conferences and university commencements, right? Maybe we can have a Thunderdome series or something. I’d buy that for a dollar.

I mean, look. You buy a Dodge Ram to make up for your tiny peenie, the last thing you’re gonna do is admit that it’s a piece of shit.
At first I was like, “why is Pete Davidson famous?”
How did he get that authority? By creating a narrative. By convincing people to support him and do his bidding. Hitler’s power, insofar as he was responsible for creating it (versus the influence of history and circumstances) was a product of words.
It is a dumb distinction to make because there isn’t really a difference. Hitler didn’t personally kill any Jews either. He used words to create and motivate a social/political/military apparatus that did the killing. If there is a distinction to be made, it’s that Hitler succeeded in that regard and Farrakhan didn’t.
I can not wait for the scenes of mobs of outraged rednecks buying up and burning NASCAR memorabilia in great pyres.
I’m currently dealing with my father who is in dementia and much like a child who happens to have a lot of legal and financial (though not physical) power.
You haven’t presented anything for me to disagree with, just a couple of cheap shots. That’s OK though, it’s not worth either of our time. Toodles.
Nothing gives me comfort, but thanks.
Without coming down on either side of The Issue, I’d just like to remember what happens when anyone says anything landlords or tenants online: landlords flood the replies with woe-is-me tales of hardship and cries about the unvarnished evil inhabiting every poor renter.
In the year 2050, the contemporary equivalent of Youtube will be riddled with comments on Perry’s videos, saying things like, “I WISH I WAS ALIVE IN 2020 THIS IS REAL MUSIC NOT LIKE THE SHIT WE HAVE NOW!”
Merck’s profit margin is over 20%. Pfizer’s is over 14%. Gilead’s is almost 22%. Amgen’s is 33%. Those are pretty huge numbers.
Tabloid reporters just salivating at the chance to report on the antics of the estranged, deranged, alcoholic, addicted Musk boy; tut-tut about the evils of parental neglect and self-absorption; regret having been born 20 years too early.
You know who’s been really surprising? Ford. He’s still a dick, but he seems to be taking this whole thing seriously which was honestly a shock. Maybe there’s some background awfulness that I don’t know about because I’m not Ontarian, but still... better than bad on that front at least.
Thanks. We’re rooting for you too.
Musicians and photographers: “I want to work for a couple of months and get paid forever.”
I don’t care about the Cuomos, but I loved when Chris was on Real Time.
Rich people are so boring.
Is “tiresome”-ness a valid reason?
As a very distant observer, one thing I’m picking up is that a lot of people want AOC to be the entire left and do everything herself, which is stupid from both a practical and a feminist-principles perspective. She doesn’t have to endorse everybody. She doesn’t have to do everything. There are plenty of other…
