Great review. I loved the episode and the different takes on the same scenarios in their 30 day experiences. I was disappointed that Molly went back to Dro but Molly is fueled by sex not love or emotion. She hasn’t been in love and can’t differentiate between the two. The Lawerence/Issa ending was heartwarming and

Did anyone else think it was a little off (or maybe not entirely true) when Issa told Lawrence that it wasn’t about him when she cheated on him? I thought she was seeking passion elsewhere partially because things with Lawrence weren’t so great at the time.

It makes sense if you think about Issa’s limits. She’s broke, and LA tents are high - it’s nearly impossible to live on your own at her salary, and the only friends she has are not available. She tells Molly she loves her too much to live with her, doesn’t want to mess up her relationship with anyone else so she falls

Issa’s fashion sense is a character unto itself. It’s one of the reasons I watch.

Maybe its possible Molly is practicing some polyamory herself and is dating Quentin and Dro? I have the feeling the scene with her in the bed is with Quentin as per the formal dress shirt, tie, and dress shoes that would be pretty out of character for Dro...

A Rising Star Award and $8 will buy you a mustard-stained Target blanket. Molly would have been justified in telling the partners to feature “Go F Yourself” prominently on their website.

Quotes!

I didn’t say anything about Issa. She CLEARLY messed up. Badly. Cheating is never okay, and she’s still paying for it. My issue is with Lawrence and what he symbolizes. He’s been using everyone he knows since the beginning of the show without any thank you’s or apologies. A guy who flakes on his friends for cokehead

Jared should’ve been invited to that dinner. But Tiffany would never let him come, because he didn’t go to college...heifer.

“Maybe Issa is Carrie Bradshaw”. God I hope not.

I cringe every time his character is on screen now (I don’t need another Bristol Farm gangbang ruining my appetite) but I think he has to stay on as a character because he is THE poster child of the omnipresent fuckboy in today’s millennial dating world, especially in LA.

I kind of think that’s the genius of this show. By leaving things ambiguous (Dro’s ‘open’ relationship, Daniel’s ‘sniper’ shot and then badly-made joke about it), they’ve managed to cause a lot of conversation about things we normally don’t discuss, which I think is better than if they spelled it all out on capital

Your comment is so good.

Lawrenceville is not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he is not as naive as he wants y’all to think he is. That’s how he ducks a lot of responsibility, with that “Who, me?” act.

I get why she wants a ho-phase though. She was with Lawrence for *years* and they are both fairly young. While a lot of her friends were out playing the games, she was in a settled, committed relationship. While that’s not necessarily bad, she is interested in seeing what the other side is like because she never

I don’t know about all that. I first thought his company would steal his app and push him to the side but then come to find out he isn’t that good (really no shocker for a underachiever like him) and he’s that diversity hire. I really think she’s just that type to doggedly pursue a guy like him. She can be in charge

She invited herself to a dinner she had no business going to. If he wanted to invite her he would have and why the fuck does she want to go to a dinner full of people she doesn’t know when she doesn’t have any status on a real relationship AND his ex will be there?? It’s fucking rude to not RSVP a guest for a dinner

Agreed. Molly doesn’t need to have a relationship with anyone but her therapist right now.

I’ll have to go back & re-watch that part (thought he was talking about another black woman in the office). Molly def needs to get back in therapy, she’s attracted to bad situations. Sterling K Brown’s character seemed like a good fit, she even brought him to her parent’s anniversary party, then abandons him there.

The Lawrence character was rigged from season one as a clueless loser. Only after getting himself together did he all of a sudden become a worthy catch to have as a mate. And once he found out Issa’s dark secret his righteous angry manifested in the most explicit sexual encounter of season one with the girl who liked
