Nissan should do an EV minivan. Clearly no other manufacturer would slum in the minivan space with EVs, so it would conversely be a segment they could own.

A minivan is a perfect EV platform and segment. Long skateboard base? Perfect. Aerodynamic shape to the van rather than limited to SUV junk? Good fit. Regular

Moron astroturfer cites pointless established industry numbers as proof when leadership of every single major manufacturer has BEV plans.

algae biodiesel is a much more promising tech than FCEV hydrogen, and that has gone basically nowhere as well.

You forgot storage problems, transport problems, and pumping/refueling problems.

Platinum is scalable?

One thing I will hand back to the car is that the overall perceived speed of computers has not really increased much in the last 20 years. Sure there are benchmarks, but a huge amount of the computing horsepower is idle/dormant at any time, and the operating system actively drags down the machine.

Edison electrocuted stray dogs to try to disprove and FUD AC electrical distribution.

Look at the “freedom is not partisan” handle. Astroturfer all the way.

little competition? They are competing with the ICE drivetrains from 30 manufacturers worldwide.

Tesla is scaling manufacturing operations at an unprecedented rate in the auto industry from a startup point. Of course they won’t show profits while scaling operations for geometric increases in output.

So are colleges, and they are about as nakedly greedy with a thin marketing shield as the worst corporations.

Electric cars are better for the environment.

Strange this astroturfer forgot to mention that.

Meanwhile, in the echo chamber, they scream “It’s a cult!!!!”

EV startups aren’t that hard technologically at this point. It’s just engineering and logistics execution.

AV is far more technological development, between hardware ASICs, algorithms, sensors, integration, network training, and software.

Uh, those are “loading docks” and there’s usually tons of people that aren’t drivers there.

Truck driving will have backup remote drivers. The accident will forewarn the center and they’ll take over.

People keep making bad assumptions about self-driving. There’s a lot of levels, a lot of convergent evolution, and a lot of possibilities.

And people believe that manual driving is safe, when it is most

Someday in a couple decades gold will suffer a massive price change.

Some asteroid will be mined and the supply of gold will double or triple.

If you think this is fantasy, SpaceX is actively planning mars missions in that same time span. Mining nearby asteroids is much easier than sending people to Mars.

RIP, pour one out.

I wish when I die that I had the depth of useful historical knowledge that he had and could package it in that way that lives on.
