They still will lag on the charging network unless the incumbent makers actually pool resources and get a charging network built out.

Tesla has the biggest and best charging network, and they allegedly have 1/10th the resources as VAG, GM, BMW< etc.

The entirety of the rest of the automotive press, especially this site, is 100% pro-ICE. Those sites exist to serve people that don’t want to read press releases from BMW and GM all day long.

Just consider the tenor of any Tesla article on this site, and it’s a Gawker libtard identity politics site.

Counterpoint: they do cheerleading blinders for literally every other company.

The writers are all antienvironmentalist pro-corporate asshats.

By pound-for-pound I assume you mean the battery pack cost.

That is undergoing hockey stick price reduction rates currently, and there seems to be a lot of potential in different battery techs coming down the pipe. The basic integration of production and economies of scale will keep battery packs dropping at a slow

You forgot their power grid and home battery businesses. Their battery production has unlimited medium term demand.

9 doublings of revenue and they are there!

You have a point and this stock price is waayyyyy hyped up, but you also fail to realize that 50% increases in revenue per year produce a hell of an exponential curve.

The Taycan was barely competent from an EV engineering standpoint. Really just a shade better than GM.

VAG at least is trying, but all the companies are pretenders in EV volume production until they vertically integrate battery pack manufacturing in the least, to say nothing of battery cell production that Tesla is

They are slated to do 500k next year.

If you can’t do the math, a million is just 2x that.

Bullish case for Tesla: They are 10 years ahead in battery tech, vertical integration, and EV systems integration of everyone, and their battery production will have willing sellers in a multitude of markets from power grid storage, home storage, electric cars (theirs or others)

Bearish case for Tesla: batteries will

The right-wing ICE morons will cling to whatever excuse. It’s not about logic at this point, you’re arguing with goalposts mounted to a bullet train.

Or...... use an EV powertrain and the altitude doesn’t matter.

Americans suck at them.

American larger cars dramatically reduce their effectiveness since the “personal space” of a massive SUV is much larger than a small eurocar. It’s not proportional/linear, more like 2x to 3x.

But at least I know how to use them, so keep putting them in.

The idea is higher speeds mean more emissions, and Germany hates to see its forests polluted, its climate changed.”

Fuuuuuck this site. That is about as minimizing as is possible.

Oh, we’re about “engineering”. But that basic science that spans 20 different distinct scientific areas that is universally agreed to?

That

BUt that’s just virtue signaling. Environmentally, which is what really matters if you are a leftie, they are right-wing.

This is a site that resolutely is pro-ICE and hates EVs.

Where is it, I know they’ll put it on, they are practicallyy contractually obligated....

There it is. The Tesla hate.

Goodbye Jalopnik!

Tesla’s sales rose 52x in this decade.

AKA 5200%

Compared to 46%.

They have three lines of cars currently, and are poised to release a crossover, semi, and truck, and haven’t even diversified to a full product line.

Granted growth is hampered by battery pack availability currently, but that will improve. Tesla is

The losses in electrolysis, fuel transport/storage/compression, and then use in a fuel cell is fundamentally less efficient than if the same generated power were simply transmitted over the grid to a battery and the used.

This site hates EVs so much they shill Hydrogen blindly despite extensive treatises in the comments that directly dispute facts, sustainability, and efficiency of fuel cells.

They clearly get paid to shill it by the oil companies.
