Most of my obvious ideas are already taken but here are some important ones:
My wife and I keep a land line only because of the dumb cable bundling discount system. As such, we rarely ever use it. It's on the Do Not Call list. With the exception of robo calls from the school system regarding school closures or activities (which we don't really need), it's a guarantee any call is a scam or a…
Plywood should be used in any situation where you might see water or the panel may be subjected to bending (folding) forces. OSB swells very quickly when exposed to moisture, moreso than plywood. It is also brittle so it breaks when subjected to flexing or bending. Plywood can also be had in tongue and groove…
No. You will want to use MDF. OSB, does not take edge screws very well at all. The edges splinter and delaminate very easily. The finish is also very rough and doesn't respond well to sanding or shaping.
That's not necessarily true. Proper MDF is great for certain furniture components where a sheet good is needed in a non-visible location. LDF, or low density fiber board is what most people think of when they think of crappy furniture from a big box store and it does, indeed, suck. The dimensional stability of MDF…
Been there, done that, and it was miserable. Fine for a trip from the house to Lowe's. Terrible for a 2 hr one-way trip to the cabin. Cruise control, automatic trans, center console, carpet, bucket seats, non-manual hubs, and a large back seat were all mandatory when I went from my 98 Ford F250 "job truck" to my…
My truck is 10 years old and it gets used pretty heavily. It still looks fantastic, though, with only a few scratches on the paint. Having a good spray-in bedliner helps, though. That said, I never worry about it since it's old and I own it outright but if it were a lease I'd be stressed every time I took it…
Yep. I'm convinced they're the single most versatile vehicle there is, which is why I have one. An SUV or wagon could never do the things I ask my truck to do. I'd make a list but it'd be prohibitively long. Mine has been demoted to weekend/bad weather vehicle but it's still working perfectly and still looks great…
Wow, you managed to find a color that the Countach doesn't look good in. I'm surprised.
I hate you. I'd be thrilled to drive that Lotus all over hill country.
That's no joke. I'm glad I'm not the only guy convinced that most of those stories are complete fiction.
Is that John Mayer jamming over there between your 288GTO and your F-40? You know John Mayer? SO AWESOME!!!
Wow, did I see 300 kph there? Damn!
What the? I can't even!
Aye, the hot pants.
