Interesting about the Celica forklift engine. My dad had one of those forklifts briefly and I recall the discussion that the engine was also in the celica. He got rid of the forklift because it was a POS and because it was pseudo-gray market it was a pain to find parts for.

Meh. I live in Oklahoma where our dumb 3.2% beer law means if I'm a captive audience at an event I have no choice but pisswater. Just drink your full-strength beer in the parking lot like we do.

Lets hope it was a hatchback. Good grief, there is such an aesthetic disparity between the sedan and hatchback.

I drove the beater I had through college for my first year or two after graduation. I then moved "up" to a dirt cheap but slightly better beater for the next two years. After that I splurged and got a used but still quite nice truck. I've never once regretted it. I'm so much farther ahead on my finances as a

Nice observation. I've always loved the bodies on these but the wheels being so inboard completely ruins it for me.

So true. They've gotten to the point where they're priced way beyond the point of diminishing returns. You have to be a fanatic or have no concern for money.

I'd let her be my sugar momma long enough to find a way to siphon off some of her money.

Agreed here. I may have even had the same conversation with my wife. While she's not too fond of my stable of vehicles, she wouldn't dare damage them because she's too smart to diminish their value.

I'm 35 and was taught to double space. I work in construction management and have even had supervisors scold me about not double spacing after the period.

Low bypass engines are a bigger fail.

I guess it makes a difference that my brakes don't have typical pins that you remove to grease. Just drop-in pads.

I always use ordinary grease that comes in the big tub. There's nothing magical about the little packet at the counter.

I now remember the placement of the Nonpoint cover of In The Air Tonight in the recent Miami Vice movie and get the connection.

It's scary how many of those accidents could have been avoided/lessened if the driver hadn't frozen up and just locked up all 4 without any steering correction. Several of those wallbangers happened with the front wheels pointed straight ahead. The guys that actually corrected usually just wound up in the grass and

1) 308, 328, 355 or other Ferrari with similar unreliable engine

Now for the corollary article to this: How much depreciation is left in these cars for the buyer to get hit with? I'd take a wild guess that the Mercedes is probably going to bottom out around $10k Porche whereas that Porsche will be worth more than $30k for a long time to come.

This one I disagree with. Granted, there are a lot that are modified, but I argue that those modifications only harm the car. Adding power is good but adding other shit to a car meant to be lightweight defeats the purpose. For example, a wing that won't produce discernable downforce at speeds the car is capable of

Just another reason I typically fill up at QuikTrip. Their gasoline is guaranteed. I don't keep the receipts but I always pay at the pump with a CC. I don't even comprehend why anyone wouldn't pay at the pump. Unless I'm on a road trip with limited options, I don't even patronize shady places for gas and

SI's response is equally "Horsecrap". Its like saying "We alleged that you were guilty of murder, robbery, rape, and drug dealing and the police investigated and only found unpaid parking tickets. See, we were right all along!"
