They aren't my issues. I'm a lucky person. I have a good job, with good insurance, that pays for birth control. But many, many, many women in this country don't and frankly, won't ever. The difference between me and you is that I recognize this is a real issue and you are intent on dismissing it and minimizing it.

*snort*

Actually, what you've done is consistently minimized it. You did it with me a few posts ago, and the only other place I can find it in this thread is here, where you once again said it's not a big deal:

I know! It would be amazing.

My boss is gone this week and I needed a distraction after my awful morning. Did you know this troll has actually posted on GT? Creepy.

Also, why won't you acknowledge that society has actively put up barriers to women (and men) getting and using birth control properly?

You seriously need to learn how to google before you try to start trying to make up statistics. Over half of unintended pregnancies are from women using birth control.

Oh really? then why did you say:

You keep talking about who is "allowing" themselves to pregnant. If I am on birth control and still get pregnant, did I "allow myself" to do so?

And employers she start agreeing to give them as often, instead of giving a woman bad marks for being "too aggressive"...

I'm sure different countries have different systems. In the UK, the government pays, but of course they pay this through higher taxes so really, everyone is still paying.

So are you agreeing that if a woman is on birth control and has sex, and still gets pregnant, then she did not do something wrong? Because you seem to have been asserting the opposite for this entire thread.

What? that has nothing to do with anything you've been saying. Your entire point has been about how they burden is on women to never have sex unless they want to become pregnant. You have said that repeatedly.

So your point to this entire thing is abstinence-only education. But only for women. Despite the fact that this has proven to be a spectacular failure?

Yes, a difference, but it doesn't eliminate the fact that even all the millions of women out there doing their absolute best to avoid pregnancies will still get pregnant. Further telling them it's their fault (even when it's not) is not helpful. Both men and women need to be on board in order to combat the issue. You

- tons of men refuse to use condoms

So? What's your point? A huge proportion of women don't have access to the most effective methods of birth control. That's the problem here. If government idiots like Rand Paul are actively trying to limit our access to birth control and abortion, that's the fucking problem you should be worried about.

Okay, here I'll lay out the math for you. According to this website, there are about 43 million women on the US on birth control.

What? Ummm...that's exactly what the science says. Why would it be "rubbish"?

I have a Jawbone, I like it because it tracks sleep better. Could be improved upon, though.
