Meh, there’s plenty unique or at least not-generic about Star Wars other than Jedi. Besides, after almost 40 years of Star Wars revolving around the Force I’m really happy to not really have that matter as much in this.

At this point, after hearing some news about this the past few weeks, I’m just curious whether an R-rated Director’s Cut of this would rank vastly better.

“But if you’re getting paid a flat rate, then why would you want to bust your ass?”

Wouldn’t exactly call a 40/60 split a “large majority.”

That feeling of old school dungeon crawling is exactly what I’m finding right now in Path of Exile. I never got around to trying it, but I just graduated, haven’t found work yet and could use a cheap new game and thanks to Vinny Vinesauce playing Diablo 2 I was reminded that PoE exists.

inb4 the showrunners play a certain recent semi-popular Japanese RPG and think “Wait a second, we can do that.

In a way, what they set up is nearly...mythological. It’s basically the origin story of an entire civilisation, after all. A titanic struggle between two of the originators of an entire race and culture, based on fundamental differences in philosophical view. It has a Greek quality to it, something that could be told

Oh shit how could I forget about his favourite hobby! Especially when I watched the Laconia episode just the other day. Man, Indiana Picard And The Interplanetary Peace Treaty basically summarises everything I want from a TNG sequel.

Dream scenario:

A life-hack for King Gizzard: just Google their album names. Start with “Nonagon Infinity” and just pretend it’s made by one of those psych-rock bands you do like. You won’t regret it.

I dunno man. The pulled punches do show that there’s a whole lot to explore in this world other than what the book does. More than enough for a couple of seasons. The writers just... never actually go there. Even though they suggest they can.

You’re right, the constant pulling of punches and not willing to go places the writers suggest themselves is just so frustrating. Especially because everything else about the show is just so goddamn good. But the constant narrative blue-balling really has to stop. I hope now that the baby is born we can have that

I’ve never read the comics, so I never had expectations about Angelville to begin with. So far to me it felt like a slightly more menacing version of Cass’ son’s appartement, aka both just places the main characters get stuck in for a while. I take it Angelville is supposed to be more than that?

I was channel surfing one night, the only one of the family who was still up, at the age of 14 or something and came across a movie called “Fight Club” that was apparently just starting. I thought what the hell, it’s probably some dumb boxing movie. I could use that.

Christ, not even that. Even in my first year we generally treated a topic like free will and cognition with more dignity than the Westworld writers did for this episode. And I sure as hell love it as a subject. It’s one of the big philosophical questions that sci-fi is basically made for. But man does it deserve

You know how a lot of shows and movies use experts on certain topics to make their work seem a lot more grounded and genuine? I really wished shows would start doing that with philosophy. I groaned out loud when Bernard did his “Free will is an illusion!” speech. Those lines were written in the most hackneyed, cliché

Given, if I were a critic I’d wholeheartedly recommend it because holy shit what a hilariously entertaining piece of dogshit that movie was. I gobble that kind of trash up like I’m Oscar. I wouldn’t be surprised if the few critics that made it get a 3% were cut from a similar cloth.

Believe me, it ain’t remembered for woodland walks. Its memories are more... leathery. And curvy.

That’s the first time I’ve seen that show mentioned in years. Boy that thing was something... special.

I already said the same to someone else, but a part of me was convinced I saw a predator’s glint in June’s eyes when she got rebuffed by Serena. And I was absolutely hoping that she saw the time so strike and just straight up stab Fred, after the episode put so much attention on Fred’s physical frailty. Too much hope,
