You seem to be mixing mods with hacking.
the mods by bean and co. are normally added tracks.
Such as older tracks for wii. As well as custom ones.
Also they help wiimifi. a nintendo wifi clone.

The infinite stars issue. i suggest pointing the finger at gecko
