Arigato Hey!

Time to put my cheeks in a beek!

Friendly reminder that Don’t Trust The B- was excellent, and JVDB was particularly hilarious.

The Goldbergs hit a certain sweet spot somewhere around season 3 when the stories were entertaining enough to be able to work through the saccharine endings. As it is now, it’s mostly just lazy barrage of pop culture references/cliched family-sitcom storylines.

There’s a good episode of Supernatural called “Criss Angel is a Douche Bag”. Funny. Barry Bostwick guests.

I’m less satisfied with them being so quick to boot Cosby after his conviction than I’m angry that it took them so long to boot Polanski after his.

*rolls eyes* Jesus CHRIST *goes over and stands by the laser printers, Blair Witch-style*

The bit where Elizabeth sneers that she’ll handle Kimmy (and then mocks Philip as wanting to have sex with her) really crystallized for me that I find it very hard to see Elizabeth as anything but a villain who needs to be taken down hard at this point.

Also, I got pissed when Elizabeth said that. Phillip basically did all of that for Elizabeth. How dare she imply that it was purely sexual, especially considering Kimmy’s age in relation to Paige. I won’t shed a tear when Elizabeth finally meets her demise.

Which delights me.

Indeed, but as we learned last week, she’s a fool if she thinks that her father has no wisdom to impart upon her.

Speaking of Thanksgiving, where the hell was Stan’s son?

I’m still holding out hope that it’s Henry who discovers his parents are spies and tells Stan.

That was a super low blow. And her crude remark about Philip not getting enough at home was not even accurate, given that she had (very transparently) seduced him as a way of getting him to agree to the Greece/Bulgaria plot.

And the thing is, if that was Phillip’s goal, he could have made that move on Kimmy three or four years ago. Elizabeth lashing out like crazy.

It seemed like she thought it could possibly be her last conversation with him, and still couldn’t summon the vulnerability or warmth to say “I love you” at the end.

Like Elizabeth and Phillip, there’s no more fucking around: I’m team Phil; Liz is morally fucked, and Paige might be too. Henry is a pure casualty of the blood-bath to come. Pick your team, peeps.

Is it just me or was that phone call between Elizabeth and Henry so fucking sad? The disconnection there. Man, pretty dark stuff.

Elizabeth accuses Philip of just wanting to fuck Kimmy, then she pursues and is turned down by a much younger target. It’s a little thing, hardly anything at all in an episode this big.

GREATEST. MAILBOT. SCENE. EVER.
