Everyone should have a kitchen fire extinguisher in their car/truck box....
Yeah, this video makes me want to get an extinguisher for my cars, if anything.
No one has pointed out the two major opposite facts in this story?
You can see this guy earlier in the video (yellow shirt man #1) as he runs up and basically just points at the car before running off. At first I was like “what a f’n coward... runs up, sees lady trapped in burning car, and runs the other way.” Moments later, though, when he appears again in frame to ostensibly help…
Now if the car wasn’t on fire I’d agree. But...the car was on fire.
And being burned to a crisp isn’t permanent harm? The fact that this type of comment is made makes me weep for the future. Life is risky and no amount of laws and lawsuits will change that. In times of need and and all help should be welcome.
When a life is threatened by immediate danger, such as a fire, you have to ignore the danger of causing further injury by moving the victim.
The one who saved her was the one who showed up with a fire extinguisher. Everybody just backed off as he arrived, then they could get back in there. $20 well spent there.
Sometimes life puts a speed bump in your path. Occasionally, hitting that speed bump causes your airbag to deploy, sending metal shrapnel into your face and neck, resulting in your slow and painful death via exanguination and asphyxiation on your own blood. What are you gonna do?
There is zero public interest in releasing a victim’s name. It is done for public spectacle and to ensure that she will be harassed, humiliated and doubted as is typical of victims of sexual assault. This is so disgusting and I cannot believe that people are still sending their kids to this hell hole.
So, basically, they are attempting to blackmail the family into silence with the threat of releasing her name. I mean, that’s what it sounds like to me. Correct me if that’s wrong.
I was gonna say...priceless is really not how i would describe this car. It was built last year for god sakes. Everyone who made it is still alive. And, the fact it was recently purchased indicates clearly the market (as closed as it may be) has established a price.
I could be wrong, but my understanding is that on a modern airliner the autopilot could do about 95% of the pilot’s job, but regulations require a human to do things like takeoff and landing. That’s only on a big trans/intercontinental jet though, not even on smaller regional ones.
That's the magic of using interns.
There are going to be two engineers in the front of the car? What’s the /mile charge going to be? $75?
Neither, but actually dead.
