As a book reader, fuck if that wasn’t borderline perfect. Abaddon’s Gate is one of my favorite books of the past couple of decades, and while slicing out a ridiculous chunk of the meat, I can still barely comprehend how the hell The Expanse’s team got the message through as thoroughly as they managed to. Hopeful SF

I also grew up around avocados. In fact, I did a high school Rotary internship in an avocado packaging plant owned by the local avocado growers collective. I, and everyone I’ve known there, do the cut in half, knife whack to pit, and twist. Somehow never injured... yet. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 

This is the second or third story I’ve read this week about people being hospitalized over avocados.
