I agree with what you say there, but those moments of joy you get from watching a good hitting pitcher hit are far outweighed IMO by all the innings murdered by the deplorable hitting pitchers.

Players at the other positions are rarely THAT bad at fielding, nowhere near the gap between a batting pitcher and anyone else who can bat. The vast, vast majority of position players are at least quite competent at fielding - how many pitchers can you say that about at the plate? Sure there are some, but not many.

That’s very unlikely to happen. It doesn’t happen now in DH leagues.

You know what’s more interesting? Leave the pitching to the pitchers and the batting to people who can actually bat.

DH baseball is far, far more watchable than non-DH baseball.
