Country Mac's Ocular Patdown

Yeah this report is not making Alexi Partners look that insightful.

Thanks for blowing the lid off this one.

I’ve got a pretty good track record of predicting winners in this kind of thing, as my massive collection of Betamax tapes, Laserdiscs, Minidiscs, HD-DVD, and Sega Master System games can attest.

I just have to say that I’m pretty proud of the Gizmodo comment-sphere for the most part on this one. General proof that you can dislike Trump (as it would appear most do on this site, and I count myself among), without abandoning your intellect to do so. It’s possible to admit that the lawsuit is crap without

So, this is actually the first comment on this thread that takes a positive view of the lawsuit but is at least thoughtful (and, I hate having to say this whenever I “defend” something Trump does, but I detest the man).

But you’re missing the point that Country Mac’s Ocular Patdown makes...Trumps use of Twitter does not violate the 1st amendment or infringe on the plaintiffs 1st amendment rights. You may not like Trump’s use of Twitter (I sure as hell don’t), but the claims of the lawsuit fall flat.

I genuinely hope that in a counter-suit, Trump sues for HIS legal costs due to the frivolous nature of the suit. Not because I like Trump (I don’t), but this is a bogus suit, and I don’t want harassing government officials with frivolous lawsuits to become a new political tool.

Blocking a person can prevent them from seeing your tweets and responding to them which depending on how they argue could be viewed as interference.

Blocking is jamming a rag into the mouth, wax into the ears and a blindfold over the eyes of another person, from now until the end of time. Hardly “walking away from a conversation.”

An acquaintance of mine from Philly insisted upon calling it sauce. We’re both Italian, but my family is from Brooklyn, so I insist on calling it gravy. It felt like Freddy Quimby and the clumsy French waiter arguing over the pronounciation of chowder.

What you, and many others in this thread, are ignoring is how 45* uses Twitter. His choice to use Twitter as a formal outlet for policy, announcements and government work means that that account is no longer personal: it’s public.

I’m completely happy to have people suing and nipping at Trump from as many directions and in as many ways as possible. Having said that, however, I don’t see how this suit could succeed.

Agree completely with you. I’m the furthest thing from a Trump fan, but this lawsuit is just stupid.

No, but it takes it from a 1 to a 3. When a 328 looks more aggressive you have big problems.

No. Really a HSV GTS front would work.

This. It makes the G8 look aggressive as fuck.

Who gives a fuck if they aren’t legally drunk?

Oh, I get it. I just hate those type of laws.

Any law created just to make enforcement of another law easier can kiss my ass.

I’ve got a JD, been to 80 some odd countries, eaten in some of the best resturants in the world and some of the shadiest roadside stands. I’ve enjoyed everything from gelatanized duck blood to molecular gastronomy to goat liver cooked over a Masaai camp fire. You will not find someone with a more varied set of taste
