Yes, sounding like where you grew up is totally the same as choosing to be blind, deaf, or unable to walk (in this hypothetical future).  

That is a great way to look at things when the technology or medicine don’t exist to fix your physical disability.

At what point in this hypothetical future where all these things can be fixed would other just tell that person to go f’ themselves? It would effectively be a future version of Munchhausen syndrome where disability is a preference vs a reality.

In this hypothetical future, why would we prioritize access to stuff for people who could easily get access, but choose not to?
