Because in between designing clothes and collecting cars, Ralph Lauren plays out his cowboy fantasy on a huge ranch he owns.

Unsure.

black matter anything?

Nah. Kristin covered it in the morning shift.

That’s a savage burn.

“Does enjoying the company of men in the bedroom take up so much of one’s time that they can’t possibly have any left over for other hobbies outside of the bedroom?”

“He got this really patronizing look on his face and went, “Oh, let me guess:A white C-Class?” His tone implied that only women drove white Mercedes C-Classes.”

We already read this when Jalopnik posted about it this morning. Then again when Gizmodo posted the exact same thing. Now we are the on the third run. Slow news day?

Why not just crosspost the Jalopnik article that discusses this exact topic in the same manner?

This is accurate. Telsa is going to have to wreck quite a bit to make up for my stupid teen days.

While not in New York City, I got a version of this in college just by donating $50 bucks to a police officer who was out canning for a charity. I’m not sure if that was standard procedure, but when I got pulled over, I just said I got it due to a substantial donation and that I don’t know any officers personally,

It is tokenism when you decide that you need more women as opposed to needing insight from these specific female scientists.

If you are telling me you need more women on a panel, then it is due to the fact they have different sex organs. If you tell me we need Dr. Nina Tandon, because her perspective on stem cell research is revolutionary or Jennifer Doudna because she was on the forefront of developing CRISPR, I’ll agree. See how that

They absolutely can be and are. I just find that picking panelists based on their sex organs is ludicrous.

No. There is literally zero tension between treating people equally and markets. Unless you are saying we have a bunch of laws and regulations to keep people out of the market based on skin color (we don’t). I’m not talking about equality of outcome as the only way to create that is through tyranny and oppression

For a system to be racist, it has to practice illegal discrimination based on race. Which system are you referencing?

The alt right has 100% to do with color. The alt-lite or various other far right groups are often civic nationalists if that is what you are describing, but the alt right definitely wants an ethnostate and ethnostates are about color. To be clear, being far right doesn’t make you alt right.

Racism still exists. Racist systems are gone.

Absolutely. As someone who believes that equal treatment is a moral imperative in a liberal (in the enlightenment values sense) society, I find their views on the treatment of various non-white people abysmal. This means that treating people as individuals is necessary to assess their value. As someone who

The alt right isn’t particularly capitalist. Most (that I’ve seen debate on the internet) would be socialists if socialists wanted to build a white ethnostate. I’ve watched people debate them on youtube and their economics ideas are about as dangerous and stupid as their views on race. Which is to say, wildly
