I did. And I still have them on a bookshelf upstairs for my kids to read.

Yep, agreed. The letter wasn’t great - it was pretty flawed, really, with that ‘this is an exception to the First Amendment’ nonsense - but the gist of it was sound. His points were valid. The paper was in the wrong.
Right? For bookshelf speakers?! No way.

I can’t wait for the next Melissa McCarthy appearance on SNL.
He was Class of 93, the letter was written in, I guess, 1991, 1992? Early 1993? Attitudes about smoking were way different then. I don’t know how old you are, if you remember how it was. It’s not surprising in the least that he got shit for trying to ban smoking in dorms.
I mangled my metaphor - you described what I was getting at. I meant, is Linux finally over? Because I haven’t seen very many Linux cheerleaders crashing Mac vs. Windows discussions over the past few years. Used to be, you could count on quite a lot of them to storm the discussion.
Waiting for someone to come in and say “Linux”.
This about sums it up.
Nobody who takes down a drone peering through his windows over his own property is going to serve Federal time. Nobody.
I put “guess” in quotes to indicate that it shouldn’t be taken exactly or literally. Because take a tomato, for example. How many varieties are there? How do you define “small”, “medium”, or “large”? If you go by weight, how do you know how much of a particular tomato is water? There’s always variance, like I said.…
Well, see, here’s the thing.
And yet you keep responding to me.
I won’t be spoken down to by the likes of you
I’m 26
You called me a child and decided based on no information that I’m a young neophyte, same as you did for the other individual here
Then what the fuck are we arguing about? You’re obviously not the kind of person that I’ve been talking about all this time. Literally, all this time.
If someone is flying a drone with a camera in the airspace of my property, I’ll take my chances.
No, you’re a child because you think you deserve to have your demands taken seriously just because you showed up for your first or second election. That’s what children think. When you’re new to the process, when you haven’t put the work in, when you haven’t learned the system and yet you storm in acting like you know…
Pretty sure I was speaking relatively.
That’s what really bugged me about all these apps that I tried a couple of years ago before giving up on them. I mean, I understand when something like a tomato, or a steak, or a piece of chicken, is a “guess”. There will naturally be a little variance, and it’s not like there’s a nutrition facts label on every tomato.
