He can take comfort knowing that Trump won’t be running a private email server from his house. I’m sure that will cheer him up.
Driving isn’t a low-skill job, though - and I’m surprised that anyone on Jalopnik would describe it as such, even when “just” driving for Uber.
Survivorship bias is a hell of a drug.
I’m sure it depends on what she signed. But it wouldn’t surprise me at all to learn that if/when he dies before her, the... well, let’s be honest, it’s a gag order... would be enforced by his estate. Namely, his daughter.
No, it’s literally a nickel. McDonalds sells so many burgers a year that they could literally, not figuratively, raise the price by a nickel and give everyone that flips them a pretty healthy raise.
Tell your people in Congress not to eliminate funding for literally - I’m using that word correctly - ALL THOSE THINGS. Your people, not mine, if I don’t miss my guess.
So weird then, that 45 million people live in poverty in this country when it’s so easy to just... not.
No, it isn’t. You’re talking about Trump being in debt to Russia? Things like that? That’s vastly, vastly different to what I’m talking about.
Honestly, I don’t care if they’re left or right, any journalist who uses the word “lie” instead of “mistruth” or “misdirection” or any other euphemism automatically gets a point from me. It might be the only point they earn, but they get a point. Because a lie is a lie, and it should be labeled as such.
Because everyone who ever had a kid should be as thoughtful as you, right? Never mind factors like education, religion, and economic status - everyone can take a rational look at their lives and decide in a rational manner whether or not to have kids.
And when they do have a family, realize that McDonald’s is not responsible for paying for their family.
Well, they do. So what’s your solution? The answer can’t be “well, you shouldn’t have had kids, so fuck off you’re on our own.”
They are. And the minimum wage still isn’t enough. So what now? Just how inhumanely do you think they should be treated to satisfy your superior attitude? Work 16 hours a day all week long, give up your family, sleep, and “whatever”? What kind of way to treat a person is that?
The going rate for a cheap hamburger is $1. How much do you think yours would cost if you paid everyone that worked for you a living wage regardless of position?
And who is going to pay the bills while they’re attending school? These people already work two jobs, many of them, and can’t just decide “hey, I think I’ll go back to school” whenever they want.
I think there’s some truth to what you’re saying. I disagree in the main, but I don’t think you’re entirely wrong, either. I suspect it’s one of those “a little of column A, a little of column B” situations, for our two perspectives.
Oh, certainly they could. The White House press room is merely a place for them to ask questions of the administration and get answers. And that information will always, always be the spin of the administration. How much spin will depend on the administration, but we’ve already seen that Spicer and the Trump White…
Because we understand that if somebody’s lifestyle is subsidized, somebody else is doing the subsidizing.
Nah. See, his story is here and now. It’s relevant to what is happening to him in this moment. What you went through has nothing to do with his circumstances. The path you took, the choices you made, the opportunities that you had - nothing about your story makes an iota of difference to what he’s going through.
