@NyQuilDreams: As a couple of commenters have said the power company foots the bill for it.

Governments should be afraid of their people, not the other way around. 'Government secrets' should be an oxymoron.

@nbergseng: So...running Citrix software on this then. I remember on the application to be a tester there was a question about software recently used and Citrix was an option.

@SlurpeeNinja: Just so you know 'centigrade' doesn't exist anymore, the SI unit is now officially 'Celcius'.

@MacGyver1138: We have frosters. They actually quite comparable.

@toxic: For full sized laptops, yes. But if you compared this to a netbook, I'd much rather have this.

@nbergseng: That's actually a very intriguing thought! Who knows, maybe we'll see some programs like that released as web-apps that you pay to access!

@Manly McBeeferton: I do not consider my car to be a 'friend with benefits'! We have a very deep and complex relationship, full of affection. I treat her right I tell ya.

@Zinger314: 'It's Complicated' with my mom...

@aprather: That's the touchpad surface.

@toxic: The point of Chrome OS is just that though... that you don't have to run a whole 'full' OS underneath the applications you want to run. Think of how much computing power, ram, harddrive space etc you save because you're not using up all the resources required by say windows just to run.

@Boding: If you need to run photoshop this isn't the notebook for you. Actually, most notebooks wouldn't be the notebook for you, since you'd probably be looking for something with a very solid amount of horsepower.

@Bryan South: All of the could apps can still be used offline. It will upload any changes you make the next time you connect to the internet.

@gelatinous_d: Because the government is great at spending other people's money in terrible ways.

I feel like a bunch of pirates are going to band together, get $20k and $500 a pop in donations, then have perfect copies of every new movie up on opening day...

@lozerette: Ah yes, that makes a lot more sense.

Am I the only one concerned that the numbers add up to 158%?!

I don't know what your idea of 'fairly normal' is, but for me it's a pretty 'out there' design. :)

@Black Knight Rebel: Or you could be the cool RA and just let everyone know that it's a good place where security won't look...
