@minibeardeath: Agreed. The hinges on convertible notebooks have always been the weak point. If they were going to do something like that it would almost definitely come with some sort of revolutionized hinge design.

@HeartBurnKid: Agent of R.O.A.C.H.: Just you watch... Personally I think if they're going to build a convertible notebook, they probably spending thousands of hours designing the perfect rotatable hinge for it.

I have to admit... this is actually quite appealing. Sure it's got a C2D, but you know what? My current laptop has got the same 1.4ghz chip and it's plenty fast for Win7, so I assume OSX will run like a dream on it. I like the idea of the instant on OS with the SSD type memory.

@kardos: I like how you think.

@HeartBurnKid: Agent of R.O.A.C.H.: I prefer a portrait keyboard. I've used many examples of both, and I've found that the sheer size of the phones these days make the landscape keyboards almost too big.

@Xagest: Isn't one of the requirements of being a cop some sort of physics fitness so you can chase after criminals rather than resorting to less-than-lethal means of subduing them?

What ever happened to a soft cloth with a teensy bit of dish soap?

@ghost25: Should have called Dateline and got Chris Hansen to come over!

@JSharke: I know, kind of sucks they didn't put the IPS display in it, but I can definitely deal with the slightly less blown out colours.

@subtlescalpel ▚▛▜▝▟▚: Your arrow goes nowhere near where the gun is pointing, and the screen cap is after the shot, so the recoil of a round that size would definitely push the gun up.

@Bwehngamun: So... the current macbook air but at $500?

@macshome: Sure on a touchpad, but no mac has a touchscreen.

@B_Ren: I bet you leave them in the bag too? That holds in moisture as well.

@chemiller: Ah salt. I guess since it's so bad you're going to stop cooking with it and cut it out of your diet?

@ninja_togo: Here's a test for you. Make a burger as thin and salted as a mcdonalds patty. Fry it really hot and fast in a griddle press, to squeeze it, then just leave it out.

@MariMac: So what we've known for thousands of years (salting and drying food to preserve it) still applies today. Magical.

@muzicman82: See here's the issue though... the first socket that supported the Core line of procs was Socket M, which debuted in January 2006, meaning that even if you had the first notebook off the line, it would only be 4 and a half years old.

@muzicman82: 2 things: Your laptop is not 5 years old, 4 at the absolute oldest. Even if by 5 years you meant you bought it spring of 2006 when it was released, it would have an Intel Core Duo, not a Core 2.
