What about say... a large dutch oven, with a cooling rack that fits in the bottom. Let it heat up for a while and it'll cook with heat all around, like a regular oven.

@Batmanuel: So less about taste buds going dead and more about the nasal passages being blocked, blocking smell, which is the primary tool in sensing complex flavours.

@stephdumas: As a student at the University of Ottawa... I can confirm that many do that on a regular basis. Also a cause of a lot of street fights, as at 3AM you have a whole mess of french and english folk pouring into the streets.

@ezrashapiro: Nope. Apps are basically 'frozen' in the background. The only real difference it makes is that you can bypass the loading of those apps when you open them up again.

@bawheid: Unless outside 'feel's like 150 as they say in the article... then I'd say it's a pretty good improvement :P

@Richard Servello: Both nice, intuitive interfaces, so they took the best of both worlds. I certainly don't mind it if it works.

@bdinger: Somebody in another comment stated that the thing lasted 16 days. Not sure how valid that is, but since it's not constantly sending large amounts of data I'd assume it'd be possible.
