I guess compared to Trump and Bannon, Tillerson is reasonable because he doesn't want to destroy the world.

Mitch McConnell was yelled at his town hall meeting. I applaud that woman for showing more spine in the one moment than Mitch McConnell has shown in his entire career in the Senate.

Since Gangs of New York, every Scorsese film has been made for 80+ million dollars with the exception of Silence. They have all done well at the box office but they have been incredibly pricey ventures with the exception of Silence.

One Rolling Stones song I don't think he has used is Paint It Black. I always felt that was a perfect song that fit in a Scorsese montage.

I clicked on the article and there wasn't much detail about the deal. However, I assume that Scorsese will still use The Rolling Stones on a constant loop throughout the film.

Featuring the Glory Hole.

I'm not like those clowns in Congress. What a bunch of clowns.

So does this mean that it will be released through Netflix or that Netflix has the rights to stream it first after the theatrical run?

I thought Andrew Garfield in Silence gave the best lead performance of the year. Amy Adams also deserved a nomination for Arrival. Also on Silence, I thought many of the Japanese actors deserved award nominations for their work.

With both Jimmys on repeat, I imagine Colbert will win the late night 11:35 ratings again.

It truly is disturbing that Trump just repeats whatever he sees or "reads" whether it is on cable news or what Putin said. Oliver brought up the great point that Trump really has nothing to gain getting along with Putin other than he is a moron or there is something compromising between Trump and Putin. As we say

You be you and I'll be me.

It also struck me how Robert De Niro's character might be one of Scorsese's most moral characters which I realize isn't saying much. In the film, he never actually commits an act of violence nor develops an addiction. He's not flawless for sure but at the end, he achieves a level of peace that most Scorsese characters

I'm not sure I would go that far but it is pretty close. Mean Streets is still my favorite Scorsese gangster/crime film.
