Here’s a more interesting plot for a horror movie; a nation beset with a generation of judges who give rapists a slap on the wrist because ‘boys will be boys’. Yeah. Complete disregard for the law as written. We could even have the cops treat rape victims like perpetrators and ask them what they could have done to…
Welcome to America, where showing a woman getting punched in the face will earn you a PG rating but having showing her having consensual sex will earn you a hard R.
I love horror/thriller movies. They are my favorite genre. But, like many women, I’ve been sexually assaulted. It’s hard to find a good horror movie that does not involve the sexual assault of a woman. I’m not sure why; it’s such a lazy ass trope that is used entirely too often.
this made me literally say “boom” out loud b/c it is so good.
Victorville? STORY CHECKS OUT.
The Mahabharata, but with an all-white cast and set in Indiana
In 2nd grade, I got kicked out of the classroom for talking and had to sit outside. What was supposed to be 5 minute punishment became 2 hours because my teacher forgot about me. When afternoon recess rolled around and she opened the door for the class to exit, she look down at me, startled, and asked why I didn’t…
I don’t get the alleged sexual magnetism. He’s like someone gave a ferret a fake beard and a Vineyard Vines gift card.
This is kinda me being a pedant but I do think it’s actually an important point.
That looks so much easier to do than it is when the dicks have people attached to them.
It’s kinda curious what happens in make-up decade by decade. Make-up trends, like fashion, seem to be pretty cyclical. Women used to use heavy pancake style stuff in the 50s and 60s (according to my mom), there was a subtle make-up moment in the 70s, it ramped back up in the 80s to extremes, went back down in the 90s…
I could not agree with this more. Without stable housing, we are setting the homeless up for failure and a prolonged life on the street increases their chances for developing mental health and substance abuse issues.
From her agenda on mental health....
also: ALL of my fellow squad members are voting for Trump. it is mind-numbing.
I’m a volunteer EMT in a struggling inner city, and it quickly became apparent that my job is to taxi mentally ill people from their home on the sidewalk to the ER, where they will stay for 48 hours before getting turned out onto the street again. repeat until death or imprisonment.
Yes. So important.
The one thing I hope gets addressed by this is the mental health issues of the homeless. It seems like on some levels it would (With police interaction in particular), but I keep hoping there will be at some point reform of what St. Ronnie gutted.
This is brilliant
