Can we at least remind people that Donald Trump was endorsed by someone who thinks suffrage for women and racial minorities was bad for democracy? And that his party has been working hard to disenfranchise Black, Latino, and poor people? The Republican platform may not explicitly call for disenfranchising women and

Bernie Sanders supporters are feeling highly emotional.

In Brazil (where I come from) there’s a multi-party system and we often talk about “the useful vote”- when you look at the political landscape, can’t find any ideal candidate (or your ideal candidate has zero chance of winning because he/she is polling at 5%) and there’s this one candidate who might win but really,

It’s, like, layered misogyny. Raucously negating a female who is speaking in support of a female.

For further reference:

This movie was at 11:50am on a Saturday. If you wish to avoid children at the movie theatre, a weekend matinee might not be the best time to attend.

I’m glad Donna Brazile will take over this shit storm. Although I know she isn’t perfect, she is highly respected and I trust her to fix this mess that DWS has caused.

As a Clinton supporter I say good riddance DWS, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. You failed at your job: both in getting down ticket candidates elected and apparently in being unbiased during the primary process. We need to unify as a party, enough of this nonsense.

That GIF is the reaction I had to watching the GIF in the first place.

It was a longstanding record, and she had to overcome many of life’s hurdles to break it.

Sweet jesus, how great is that GIF?

I’m hopeful that when Clinton gets the chance to stock her cabinet and upper-level positions, she’ll make some interesting and diverse choices. She’s already committed to make 50% of her cabinet women, so I think we’re headed in the right direction.

I’m Canadian, so I’m an outside observer but... given the US’ two party system, even if the Dem VP candidate is someone you don’t like, isn’t it better to vote in a less than ideal Dem than to have Trump?! (Two party systems are kind of terrifying to me.)

I completely agree! I didn’t want to write an essay, but there are just so many more VP candidates who not only possess more liberal ideals than Kaine, but also reflects the changing face of America (Rep Ellison, Al Franken, Elizabeth Warren, Raul Grijalva, come to mind).

But she’s putting her money on the moderates. I

I’m so excited for 3+ straight terms of get-shit-done liberal presidents. Boring competence is awesome.

A mayonnaise sandwich on white bread is more interesting than this guy.

However, she is not Trump, who wants to create a police state to continue to profile and brutalize my people, and he is not Pence, who wants to control every aspect of my uterus and keep teh gays in the closet.

So, I’ll hand them my vote in November

Sanity/Stability 2016!

Clinton’s announcement was unsurprisingly smooth

jokes aside, I think he’s a practical pick. As much as I would have loved to see a Clinton/Warren or Clinton/Booker ticket, I can see how it would be too risky in an election year that’s been basically straight out of the Twilight Zone so far. I look forward to getting to know Kaine and his policies!
