They do. They believe they’re pressing the brake, and when it doesn’t work, they press harder. They don’t try the other pedal, because in their mind, it’s the gas and will only make things worse. Should they give a shit? Nobody buys the FRS/GT86/BRZ, and the Miata’s sales have plummeted. Why should they focus on a segment of cars that nobody seems to want to buy, except secondhand?

Did you read this as a complaint? I read it more as an explanation of how someone making that much money could be living paycheck-to-paycheck.

To be fair, a family of 4 living in NYC probably would need $1.5mm for a home that would suit their needs. Of course, the flipside is that they wouldn’t need 2 cars, especially not a BMW and a Landcruiser
